+1 Internets | I have thought about it, heard other people's comments on it(Virgin Worlds podcast once again), and I'm saying that it wouldnt surprise me if it was the terms of the contract to buy the game and pay the debt. |

| Plugged In Like Neo | For all we know, maybe Brad was so fucked for cash that all SOE had to pay was the debt to take if off their hands....which may not have been horrible due to Microsoft eating some/most of it. Who knows....hopefully details will come tomorrow, but I doubt it. |

| Sucks for people to lose their jobs, but thats what happens when you put out a product that doesn't produce to expectations. Ask the former employees of Ford, GM, Chrylser, etc and so on.. PS they love cuppycake over there too! f13.net forums - The Short and Morbid Tale of Sigil Games Online Quote:

+1 Internets | I kinda doubt Brad is hurting for cash after all this. I'm sure he'll still be driving his Ferrari and his motorcycles around and telling people all they need is bigger busses to run Vanguard. |

| Regardless of Brad's financial standings, I doubt we'll ever have to worry about him making another MMO (or at least one that will ever release). I can imagine Smedley being amused by the situation. I wonder if Brad will be absorbed back into SOE, as he mentioned he would still be working on the game, just not in a high-up position but one more involved in the specifics of the game. | Yeah, he only lost his credibility, the company, the "vision" was finally busted, and Brads balls were finally chopped off by his community. But alliswell in Bradworld of Ferrarri. ![]()

| Actually both. But yeah, most of the burden would lie in the hands of the decision makers. But dont make the grunts out to be innocents either.

| I was fortunate enough to get accepted in the beta in 2005 and was able to group with Talisker and other devs almost on a daily basis. It's kinda sad, most of those guys were super cool but just had a bad leader. ![]() |
