Doesn't Ut fall into all those categories? He's called all his haters some nasty things(personal attacks) while constantly berating Brad McQuaid(harassment) for lieing. He did this continously(spamming) while I'm fairly certain he was naked, coated in baby oil and giving himself quite the happy ending(porn posting, etc).

Isn't this a clear case, dammit!!

I think it's been stated in this thread and others, multiple times, why /ignoring Utnayan has no effect.

It's really not that hard to ignore someone. If a poster is annoying you, and the /ignore feature somehow isn't enough, then actually ignore him. Don't read his posts, and don't respond to them. If he posts in a thread you're reading or contributing to, respond to other people's posts, but not to his.

If you find yourself getting emotionally worked up over a poster on these message boards, take a day off. Do something else for 24 hours, then come back. I've found that 95% of my problems on this board have gone away on their own whenever I've done that. I highly recommend it.

Let cooler heads prevail in situations like these.

Actually I never PM'd anyone on this website nor ever received one. I simply defend Ut because I don't like the railroading, the hypocricy and the bullshit by several. He goes overboard at times. But he still makes good points too and I see no reason to squelch that and turn this forum into an ass kissing one.

I was thinking about it more from your standpoint; how a shitstain like that can single-handedly ruin your board (and is), taking it from unique to drivel in less than 4.5.

Of course, now that we've entered the "Utnayan plays it safe for ten posts mode", he'll probably PM you to tell you everything is ok, and you will believe him (as always), because he will settle down (for ten posts). Believe me: it takes me an awful lot to get fed up with this kind of shit. An awful lot has just occured, and it was a vision of your site getting burned the fuck down by the god-king Utnayan and his control over this board.

Utnayan doesn't get any special treatment on these boards. No one does, despite what people may choose to believe.

I will say this: I receive more complaints about him than about any other single poster on the boards. And every time I'm asked to look into the complaints, all I see are threads where the complaining poster was arguing with Utnayan about some MMORPG. A difference of opinions, however vehemently and persistently argued, is not grounds for banning someone. If you can point me to evidence that Utnayan is actually trolling the boards -- in other words, that he is only fishing for reactions, and does not believe what he's posting -- then I'll ban him. If not, then I'll let him be.

Here's my perspective on the situation: I see a poster who makes controversial opinions. Some might even call them misguided opinions. Some might say he whines at every opportunity. And hell, a lot of people seem to be saying that about him. But I still see a poster who's exercising his right to an opinion, however flawed the majority of the board might believe that opinion to be. I have yet to see a troll in sheep's clothing here.

Prove me wrong, and I'll do something about it. But I'd need some specific threads to audit before taking any action. If you can link or PM me a thread or two, then fine. Have at it. Until then, I'm leaving him alone.

And on a side note, Millie, this isn't just people pissed at someone for having a difference of opinion and you know it. If that is the only thing you can figure from this situation, then no wonder nothing is going to be done about it.

People don't bitch this much, make polls, PM admins, and demand bannings over someone who disagreed with them. They don't. Never have, never will. No one cares THAT fucking much about someone elses opinion. It's the way in which he presents his opinion that has everyone pissed the hell off.

Sure, you can claim all he is doing is being the 'other side of the arguement' but posting 500+ posts, all of which practically saying "FUCK YOU BRAD YOU FUCKING LIEING SACK OF DOG SHIT" isn't really what i'd call an opposing arguement.
