Well I started fooling around with it after I won it and I noticed the proc was a little odd. It's a 100dd lure, and a stun. I thought darkness spells were a snare? Anyways, the stun gets resisted alot. Wait a minute.... A moss snake is immune to the stun portion of this effect. I shit you not, a level 1 mob with like 30hp resisted this stun. Then I realized that the stun was not just resisted, it was straight up broken. Now this weapon seems a little rare, I think I have the only one on Xev at the moment. So it's not a big deal to alot of people that this weapon is fubar. It's still broken though. I've done the /bug thing 34 times now, and I will everytime I log in until it's fixed. I'm hoping whoever reads this and makes a little note to a coder to fix it adds in a line saying... Change lure dd + broken stun effect to a low damage long duration snare. Process now falls in line with all other darkness effects. Peace | |

| on the same note ouch that does suck. I guess if this is a spot to bring up broken procs I will once again bring up Searing Flames proc on Halberd of Destruction. I've /bug and /feed it a million times but it *still* is an AE proc that overwrites Malo (the minus 60 to resists across the board sham spell). Makes the Halberd of Destruction completely useless on any form of guild raid simply because it's bagged 100% of the tme. Make malo overwrite this proc or change the proc entirely and I'll be happy. |

| blackout I have one of these and gotten it mainly for the proc, tho I knew what it was.... 100 dot in 1 tick and stun... Great offhand ratio and super proc in a server with no more SoD's to get... really great aggro offhand until I can get a 2nd EB weapon or such.. and I'm a big fan of interrupts and actual damage procs for soloing/non MTing Unfortunately since the patch the new UI came in EVERY GODDAMNED MOB IN THE GAME is immune to the stun component. So now it's still a decent offhander for damage, but it's shit for aggro, since the change a ways back that immune to stun means no stun aggro. I've sent many /bugs and a few petitions also.. no avail so far.. |

| I had a GM replace mine last night hoping that the patch may have included a fix for the proc. Unfortunately it's still broken. Another good idea would be to make the proc a snare/fear proc. The weapon would only be useful for outdoor kiting or in a raid on fear immune mobs. I don't care what happens to it as long as it gets a fix, it will never replace Fangs of Vhyz'dra / Primal. |

| Its really your fault for assuming just because the word Darkness is in the effect that its even remotely related to the Necromancer snare line. I suggest in the future you pop open lucy and take a look at what spells do. Yeah, the effect is dumb, but its VI.. you are suprised? The 100 damage still goes through even if the stun doesn't take hold. |

| I've had a Blackout for over 4 months. When I first got it, it was exactly what you said. It was a 100 point snare DoT over 10 seconds. Because of many Luclin mobs not being able to be snared, the effect was changed to a 100 point proc and a stun. Everyday I do a /bug and /feedback saying the stun is immune by everything and it stil hasnt been fixed. Just have to hope that they might fix it sometime. | I am not sure what your bitching bout here, this is a a great offhand weapon and the damage component and the stun is seperate so youll still get the proc damage on mobs that are immune to stun. Sure it would be nice if the stun lasted longer, but a stun, any stun is a great aggro and ill take a stun(interupt caster) wep over a snare any day of the week and twice on sunday ![]() |

OK son, good one kiddo, way to go slugger, really good one champ. BTW I don't like my embalmers skinning knife effect. I'm posting here to say I think VI really screwed the pooch when they made it summon bandages instead of proccing Manaburn. When I looted it I ASSumed Summon Bandage was a manaburn effect. Because when you scramble up the letter in Summon Bandage you can almost spell manaburn. it's like Manabudn but really that's close enough. I for one feel screwed. I'm cancelling my account and suing. Just noticed this, ace. "every other "darkness" effect in the game is a snare as far as I know." And then when someone shows you otherwise you also "know" that. Oh mystic seer of all things seen tell me what will the lotto numbers be this week. Clearly you must "know". Right slim?
