WoW: Does no one care about the farmers? Ive been thinking about this for a while, and I really don't know where I stand, but it seems to be getting ridiculous. At any time on my less than two month old server (Kalecgos) you can find 15-25ish level 60 hunters in Maraudon, and 20-35ish 60 rogues in Uldaman. That is just the level 60's on horde that showed up on the /who. So there are probably 2-3 times more than that. Is it like this on every server? Should I care? Does it even matter?

If they're farming money, the price of everything goes up as there is a greater supply of money chasing the same goods. If they're farming items then the price of those items will go down. Generally speaking, they are probably effectively farming both. In this case, the price of the items they are farming will drop, but the price of all other desireable items will rise.

| If I could snap my fingers and make Rang Rang farmers go away *poof* I would. I would rather know that my server economy is relatively "pure". But I can't so I live with it. And it really isn't all THAT bad, at least as far as I can tell.

item prices on my server seem to be going down, not up. If a ton of money was entering the economy, you would expect the opposite (inflation). But just in the last couple months, i can say for sure GBS has gone from 1000-1100G to like 800G, arcane crystal is down to like 15G from upwards of 20G, krol blade is down to like 850G...

The only thing I hate with farmers is competition =/ I need to farm cash to feed my need for silly engineering toys. However, anytime I go to felwood or azshara, I have to fucking wade through horde rogues (and alliance) just to get a few kills in. I will literally kill 5-6 differant rogues 4-5x each a night, just in the course of farming for a few hours. It is absolutely ridiculous. And it is -always- rogues. Every. Single. Time.

I got a question, not directly related to farming but impacted by it. Do people sell BOE purples from MC on your servers? If so, for how much? We have had some banked for a while, and with the increased drop rate we are gonna start selling some and hopefully bankroll repair costs in BWL. I have to think that gold farmers and IGE, the fact that you can buy gold for cash if you choose, will let me price these for far more than they are worth. I saw a piece of Cenarion forsale in IF for 2900, dont know if it sold. Our server is pretty backwater. Medium PoP PvE. Alliance dominated of course, about 3:1. Only one guild past Razor in BWL, 3 guilds killed Rag, 4 guild killed Ony. H Last edited by Hozz : 09-20-2005 at 11:44 PM.

Farmers make it harder for me to collect herbs since they gather them 24/7. Once a long time ago a farmer rolled on the blade of Baron Riverdare on a Strath run I was attending. That's about the extent that farmers have affected me, they're a minor distraction at worst. As for the selling of gold and ruiningz the econnomie, I didn't care in Everquest, and I don't care now. If you want to sell ingame stuff for RL cash, knock yourself out. Don't spend it all in one place. Nosy people who get outraged about stuff that's really none of their business irritate me more than farmers.
