This pisses me off on a personal level. My first "serious" toon was a Beastlord (i.e. first over 60 -- only been playing a little over 2 years), and I "grew up" on eqbeastlord.

Why does EQ do nothing about this person who is buying up a controlling stock in their intellectual property? Yantis "owns" a hog's share of the player-transferable data in EQ. It's enough to make you quit.

I'm just really disappointed that eqbeastlord will now more than likely go the way of mb, eqshaman.com and the other shitholes that used to be productive websites.

Is there any place that has some "hard facts" about how scuzzy Yantis is? Everyone seems to hate him a lot and I'd like to know why. I remember reading that "letter" that was supposed to be from his dad that said something like Yantis is evil, but it seemed a little weird.

I'd like to jump on the h8 bandwagon but I just wanna know why before I do.

No one in the end game or a RL adult gives a flying fuck about Yantis.

I could give a shit if Yantis is sploiting tradeskills for plat as plat is worthless unless you are tradeskilling at the high end of the game. What can an Elemental+ player do with plat besides mess around with some twinks? Fucking nothing. The whole "omg, Yantis is the devil!" arguemnt is for stupid noobies who are level 51 and are worried about the EQ economy. I feel the worst for them becasue they are so dependant upon the game that they study the economy of it, but still suck so much they are noobies.

Hes violating the EULA? Give me a fucking break. Who cares? The game is 5 years old, you have mudflation, corrupt GMs, and plug-ins for ShowEQ that are allowing people to use GM commands and your worried about someone buying/selling plat or sploiting our pp.

Basically every player in EQ shares their account info with friend(s), or a family member or someone they grew up with in game from release/beta/whenever you started. Your violating the EULA, 0h n0z!

These noobies can cry about Yantis buying out sites, but the bottom line is no one who matters gives a shit. The game is in its death rattle, and we're all standing on the fence waiting for WoW or EQ2 or whatever will capture our attention and time.
