Pretty sad that the most technologically advanced country on earth is also the most desparate to go back to the fuckind Dark Ages. Unsurprisingly, Republicans and the Religious (who also don't believe in Global Warming) are the ones dragging down the rest of the country.

I think the most surprising thing is that political Independents are perfectly in line with Democrats (3% MoE on the poll), which bodes ill for the Republican Party and their strategy of appealing to knuckle-dragging southerners on a variety of scientific issues.

I draw attention to the specific example of Evolution (49% of Americans believe in it, 48% don't, 2% don't know, 3% MoE), and will add that I'm personally hoping they do a similar polling study on Global Warming - another scientific issue where Republicans and Religious people are dragging down the rest of the country.
