| In case anyone is curious about what the girls opinions were, they pretty much all said that penis size was 90% a psychological thing, unless it's just small to an extreme. When a woman sees a big penis, whether it's social conditioning (we're all led to believe bigger is better) or just her own subconcious preference, it changes her perspective both towards the guy and towards the sex about to take place. Since sex is largely psychological, moreso for women than men, it gives the perception that a large penis is better. Which in turn, makes it true. If that makes sense. Two of them told me about guys they had dated with small penises, and they liked them alot, but whenever they would have sex, both of them said they ALWAYS thought about how small the guy looked. That's going to hurt the girls mood and enjoyment, even if it was physically not a big deal. |

+5 Internets | I've talked to girls who claim the exact opposite, that it's the guy who obsesses over it, to the point where guys with perfectly normal, even above average penis sizes, were so focused on that particular thing that it took away from the rest of the relationship. It's all about finding the right person for you, and your battle buddy down there. Girl thinks you're too small, fuck her, move on. Everyone's different. |

| I'm curious how people know if they are average or above/below. Is there a real stat? I mean I guess if you played a sport in HS or somethin or are in the military thus requiring public showers you can sort of get an idea, and obviously you can tell if its miniature or enormous, but when people say "I have an above average penis" or "I have a below average penis (oh wait these people somehow don't exist" what are they comparing to? |

+5 Internets | I think they are just shitting, I mean if you have a 7 inch penis you're not going out on a limb saying it's above average. But if you're curious on the studies, there is a wikipedia article on it, which is where I got my info. |

| The general impression I get from talking to various girls: Size matters, but other things matter significantly more. So having a teeny weenie can easily be made up for in other ways (small things like bathing regularly, etc). |

+4 Internets | Studies have been done on the "average" size of an erect dick, and that's what people compare to. It used to be 7 inches, but that was derived by a study done on Army soldiers who were given a measuring tape and a booth, and told to come back with their measurement. Yeah, surprisingly enough that wasn't very accurate. Modern studies have shown average is around 5-6 inches. And comparing in a shower or sports locker room is pointless, we all know how much they grow and shrink depending on the temperature and whether or not you've consumed LSD or mushrooms recently (seriously, I get an inny). |

| Never read that myself, not sure. Everything I've read about Greek art just said that they thought the human body was "perfection" just as it was. They didn't think the penis looked bad small or flaccid so they didn't mind depicting it in such a realistic way. |
