Shilling hasn't looked that skinny since he was an Oriole! (Curse you, Glen Davis, curse you to hell.)

And why do we have to hear "we won't release until it's ready" for the billionth time when we all know it's a lie? Games aren't released when they're ready - they're released when the accountants say, "Holy shit, we're broke!"

100% true, no MMOG i have ever played was even close to ready to be released, WoW inlcuded. WoW was just less broken than most of the rest, but still very incomplete on things they wanted in, horrible class balance, untested class changes, little to no end game, etc.

The only thing Curt is going to "try" to do is release in better shape the the rest, but it still will never be "ready".

What do you use to draw those? Ink + scan + color, Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter?

yup

Pretty much variations of everything you said. No Painter though Color in PS.

Could be way better but we are banging these out daily so they don't get the extra details they could.

I still think we trying to up the ante art wise for web comics, I can't speak for our writing :P

You should definitely get Painter, it's bad ass.

And I'm assuming you have a tablet of some kind?

True. I'd be interested in hearing Curt's thoughts on Mark Jacob's recent pronouncement that you need $100 million if you even want to compete with WoW.

My guess: Curt's thoughts are "Oh, is that all? God bless this pitching arm and all that hard work."

But that's just a guess. I assume he has other investors involved, anyway. That's a lot of risk for any individual to shoulder.

Considering Curt has $40 million to support his company until the perfectly ideal sponsor/publisher/funding body is found, I'd imagine his response would be "The funding isn't the issue with 38 Studios, it's the process. That, and keeping all you whiny brats out of our hair."

I may have elaborated a bit.

Ya, I still have no real news. Would love to, but don't, well can't more than don't.

FWIW I am getting a bit more psyched about the launch of WHO.........
I never complained about being forced to read this thread. I just offered an explanation about why this thread which is about your and our company seems to be getting special treatment despite the reality that there is very little actual substantive information about your products. If you are not prepared to talk about anything then that's completely understandable and refreshingly commendable. (For what it's worth, if you read my other post in another thread you will see that I am very interested in your upcoming MMO and I suggested that you should have made the Top 10 List for most influential people in MMOs today. Heck, I'm not a detractor but in fact an enthusiastic supporter. )

It's not unreasonable to believe that gamers genuinely come to discussion forums to get information on MMOs. When I see your name in the title and the name of your company I expect to see some relevant discussion. When I don't see any I'm disappointed and I believe others are as well. So forgive me for wanting to click on a thread about an upcoming MMO.

The fact is that you and your employees keep coming to this thread and contributing to it which gives it official approbation yet keeps it perpetually bumped and in the public eye. If your intent is to shoot the breeze and say nothing of consequence then that's all fine and well -- there are many other threads where that can be achieved. But why do it in a thread where people have a legitimate expectation of viewing some authoritative information about your game?

I would respectfully ask you this Mr. Schilling: if 38 Studios is not ready to release information about your game(s) then what is the purpose of this thread existing many years before the projected release of your game?

Thank you.
