| I bought the xarmor mechanical keyboard about 6 months and the space bar is already broken. It's not like I raged and beat the shit of of my keyboard. I took very good care of it. I guess that gives me the excuse to buy another keyboard. I want ahead and bought the razer blackwidow ultimate backlit mechanical keyboard. Anyone who has one care to comment on them?

I just got it about a week ago, having had the previous version before my son broke it. the lighted keys and thumb slide to page up/down is amazing. the scroll ball was replaced for a tinny touchpad that doesn't feel as responsive. but, the touchpad is also a left click. the normal left and right click are a bit more up on the device, and before i figured out the trackpad thing was also a left click iw as about to return it. range is not good. i've gone through a ton of media keyboards (thanks to my son thinking they're great to stand on), none seem to have great range. I might try a usb extension cord and have the receiver more on the front of the entertainment center, sticking out the back of the PC probably isn't great for range. i'd love to get some app that controlled everything my PC that I could then control w/ my android phone, but don't think that exists yet.

+268 Internets | I can't find a keyboard that I really like and I've tried many. I like the shape of the Microsoft 7000 ergonomic keyboard, but if it's supposed to be ergonomic, then why are the keys so damn hard to press? And the spacebar sounds like a bomb going off every time I press it. Loud as fuck.

| Next Level Salt | Because of this thread I went out and tried out a couple mech keyboards at ncix. They had the razer blackwidow and corsair k60 on display to try. I instantly fell in love with the K60. The blackwidow felt a bit lighter but the K60 has a bit more resistance (which I like) and probably produces half the noise the BW does so I picked that up. God damn, I can't believe I went on using some shitty Saitek keyboard for 3-4 years. This keyboard is nice to type on, small (take up less room and easier for me to type since I have small hands) and looks SEXY as all hell in person. It's a simple, no fluff, straight to business keyboard. God damn I'm lovin' it. |

| I'd take my DAS any day of the week and three times on the Lord's day over my Blackwidow. They aren't even comparable, really. The DAS is just 100x better unless you really, really, really need media keys and back lighting. |

| Next Level Salt | Yeah, the blackwidow felt cheap to me. Probably breaks in a few months like any other razer products. Das isn't really available for me so I took the corsair. Can't really compare since I never tried the Das, but so far, the corsair is really good. People should definitely check it out if they are looking to buy a mech keyboard. btw what's the difference between the colour of the switches? |

+5 Internets | picked up the k90 today. i passed on the k60 as I didn't like the wide keys for WASD as i do a lot of normal typing on the keyboard and use ESDF for gaming. yeah, it's a pain to redo ALL of the keys anytime I get a new game, but it gives me a whole extra row of keys back when I did WOW and easier to transition to typeing in multiplayer games. I can already tell I'll like the feedback of the keys over my Logitech G11, went through about 3 of them over the years. Don't think this will replace my logitech Wave (actually k350 now) That semi-split-ergo layout is amazing if you do a ton of typing.

| Just got in a blackwidow ultimate stealth edition. It is quieter than a normal blackwidow but still makes a lot of noise when plastic keys hit the plastic base. Overall though, it is a great keyboard and I love finally having a mechanic keyboard. Best part about the stealth edition is that the surface isn't shiny so it does not get fingerprints all over it. I highly recommend it. |
