+6 Internets | Kickass heated massage recliner suggestions? So I want to get a gift for my dad, he's been helping me do a TON of renos on my new house (he's a contractor) for zero labour and insanely cheap materials. As kind of a thank you / xmas present I wanted to find him a really nice recliner chair with heat and massage. He's got some lower back and neck issues from 30 years on the job and I know he's always wanted one of these but doesnt want to spend the money on himself. So anyone have any specific brands / models they'd reccomend? |

| From my experience, you're either going to get one that is good at massaging, but incredibly uncomfortable, or a moderately uncomfortable but feels like you're being massaged by an 11-year old anorexic girl. So hopefully that helps you narrow it down a bit.

| One thing to make note of, is if you get a recliner with a massager built in you have to be careful as hell about getting into it... Was walking at the mall and saw some comfy looking chairs so I ran in jumped into 4 shiatsu balls of steel and fucked up my back |

| I sat in a massage chair at Fry's electronics a few years ago and I thought it was awesome. My brother was with me and we agreed that sitting in that for 20 minutes a day would probably make you a happier person. I have no idea what kind it was or what it would be like in the long term, but it made a good impression on us that day. |

| goto brookstone etc, sit in them try them all out. the good ones run 2500$ or so for one that will actualy cover your entire back, neck and lumbar- they usually have foot things too and yes, its hard to find one you will also use just as a chair.
