| Just wash your face before going to bed, no need to take two showers. I used to use the Clinique Men's M Lotion but I recently switched to Nivea for Men Q10 something cream lotion, mostly because it's about $10 cheaper. I also use Clinique Men's exfoliate stuff about once a week. My girlfriend is a skin/makeup freak (which is why I started using this shit) and she can pretty easily tell if I haven't used the stuff in a week or two. My skin is so dry though that I use the lotion anytime after I wash my face and it works perfectly. |

Just share if you all live together. Its literally (like a lot of the mens stuff) nothing more than a repackage. Hell a lot of us used to buy some of the mens stuff on gratis (gratis=you get money from the company to spend on product a few times a year) because the packaging was more conducive to travel (tubes vs bottles etc). The only thing in 3 step that is different is the mens 4.5 clarifying lotion because its a half step higher than the max womens one. I cant remember if the mens exfoliator is a repackage of 7day or exfoliating scrub. If its the latter (you'll be able to tell because the exfoliating scrub has the acetylsalycilic acid in it - 7 day doesnt) then I'd give Lush's Ocean Salt a try. Exfoliating was the only scrub I used for YEARS because it was the toughest out there and my skin built up a high exfoliation tolerance - Ocean Salt is better.

Basically if you think about it theres shit in your pores right? Thats whats causing you to break out or you to get blackheads, white heads etc. So when you start exfoliating you turn your skin over faster. You're accelerating the shed of derma so the shit down in your pores is going to come to surface faster and instead of getting one here one there spread out over time they will seem like theyre all coming at the same time/at an increased rate for a while. (this can last up to a few months for really problematic/really clogged skins but usually no more than 2-6 weeks on average). The trick is to get thru this by keep on keepin on. Keep exfoliating/using the treatment and (unless you're having an actual reaction to it which is fairly uncommon) you'll come out better on the other side. But if you stop when things are starting to work you've just made yourself break out for no reason ![]()

| So on top of washing regularly, I started taking Pantothenic Acid. 10 grams a day for 3 months and my acne is nearly gone, I might get one rarely but its nothing bad. I take 10 500mg pills at lunch, 5 more at dinner, 5 before bed. I'm really skeptical of all forms of acne medication, but this has really helped me and seems to have no side effects as of 4 or so months. I didn't see results until about a month or so in, just for those people that get discouraged after a week or so. |

+11 Internets | I doubt the product is even still on the market, but 8ish years ago I took Acutane for acne and I'm pretty sure it caused extreme hair thinning to the point of getting a bald spot at 17 (a year or so off the medication and hair thinning stopped). In case any younger impressionable people are reading this, I'd stay away from prescription pills for acne if I could do it all over again. Fuck, the fact that it required a monthly blood test should've been a good sign.

| Acutane is still around as of... 5 years ago? A friend in college used it over the summer. She was super hot, not too bad skin, saw her over the summer and holy fuck does it make you break out like crazy. 2-3 months later when classes were starting again she was totally clear. |

| Pantothenic Acid = B5. From what Ive read most people take between 10-20g a day of it if theyre using it to treat acne. I never tried it due to it can be kinda expensive, $40-60 a month considering how much you have to take.

| Get a face transplant, you hideous creatures. Edit - all seriousness go to acne.org, buy the cleanser, not the moistorizer, KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF YOUR FACE, no proping your head up in class. DONT PICK AT IT. I know it's tempting as hell. Let me tell you guys to single best moisturizer out there for daily use, it is god's gift to man, it will keep your skin moisturized, and keep the oiliness away. It's Skincare - By Category - Moisturizers - Clear Difference Advanced Oil-Control Hydrator — Estée Lauder Official Site Try using an electric razor when shaving, close shaves irritate skin for most people. All the acid based stuff does is exfoliate and leave your skin dry as hell. Not too hard, just dont bother the hell out of your face, use that cleanser (Less irritating to skin) and moisturize with that product. This is for people with sensitive skin, some of you guys may have hormonal or other shit but honestly, Ive tried a ton of stuff and my skin is clear as hell for 3 years just doin this shit. | Accutane is normally only prescribed to people who have extreme conditions. It is, however, the best acne medication you could take because it clears you up forever.

| Yes and its the only thing that has worked as well as I expected. Better than all those supposed acne tricks and treatments. 20 pills a day is a lot pill wise but it takes a minute or so a day to do it, so no big deal really. Price does matter a bit but if you find deals you could do about $60-70 every two months. And yeah pantothenic acid is vitamin B5. Around 4 months ago when I was looking into this I went to a dermatologist and he had no clue about it or if it would help. Real useful. |
