| The Droid is looking awesome, I'll be upgrading from a BB Curve to the Droid when it comes out probably. It is confirmed that it will have it's own Android app store separate from Verizon's Get It Now. Edit- By the way, Google basically created the phone by working VERY closely with Motorola, and they apparently have a contract with VZW saying that they (VZW) cannot disable any of the features of the phone. Wifi, unlocked GPS, Adobe Flash 10 (in early 2010), and a slew of other great features... this phone is really looking amazing. Last edited by Sabolin; 10-23-2009 at 02:00 PM.. |

| The only limitation that may come up is the lack of an ability to do simultaneous voice and data on Verizon's EV-DO network. But, if you never tethered you probably wouldn't notice. Anecdotally, to order the phone internally (have my department purchase one, not an employee discount) it is tracking about the same price as when the Q9m was released. If I remember correctly. Put in an order for four yesterday, but we'll see how fast that gets shot down. |

| Need more real world testing of the droid. Yeah it sounds good from reviews but with every phone there are a lot of issues with the software with how it mixes with the hardware. I know android has been around for awhile but I still think there will be some issues people bring up about the phone. |

| Are the apps on the droid going to be free like the iphone or are you going to have to pay for a majority of them?

+3 Internets | I dont get this statement. Sure, there are a lot of free apps for the iPhone, but most of those are partial/trial apps that you have to pay to unlock the full ones. There are some free apps also, but a majority of the iPhone apps cost cash.

| /Shrug, I asked one of the only people I know who has an iphone how much he has spent on apps, since he probably has over 50 by now, and he said he only bought one. The apps sure don't look trial, it's not like any of them shut off mid-play/use or have any features that can't be used until the full version has been bought, etc.

| "My friend has some free apps on his iphone, which is cool I guess because I know there are a shitload of pay apps" That's because I didn't say that, I thought that very few apps were pay and most were free.
