The 4G63 in an Eclipse comes from the factory with a piece of shit crush bent 2" exhaust. Even in stock trim, only using a manual boost controller, you can push up to 16psi, but you're fucked because you have too little flow with the exhaust.

That particular 2.0l motor, when properly built, can easily push 400-500whp reliably and recently in the Castrol Top Shop Challenge were able to push out 1035 HP on race gas.

I know enough to know that putting exhausts on naturally aspired 4 cylinder front wheel drive shitboxes automatically qualifies you as a riceboy. Perhaps the reason I showed you those videos is those are the type of cars that should be modified. FWIW, I have actually owned a 1g DSM that ran mid-11's, a 95 Supra turbo that did mid-12's @ 140+ mph (640rwhp on race gas), and a C5 Z06 with a 422 w/ 530rwhp. I never considered owning a FWD NA econobox, much less modifying one. To each his own, but don't act like you're not a riceboy.

And you are aware the scion tC replaced the Celica right? It's a sports compact. With little to no work I can put it to 400HP, and then some engine work and I can put it to 500 if I want.

Just curious, what the hell was wrong with your car? I owned a 93 Supra TT, did full Single Turbo Kit, Greddy FMIC, Boostlogic built tranny, Cams, Blitz ECU, APEXi boost controller, Walboro pump / bigger injectors, etc etc.

I ran 12.2 @ 128MPH and that was on 19" street tires and a complete shit launch. If you had 140MPH trap speeds, you should have been in the 10s easily.

Didn't want to replace axles/diffs so I just ran on street tires and soft-launched it. 2.1 60' times and I wouldn't go full throttle until halfway through 2nd gear. I just wanted to see the trap speeds. My friends ran mid 11's with BPU mods in the mid-upper teens for trap speeds with drag radials, I just didn't want to break anything. I mostly did DE events which in all honesty is much easier on the car than drag racing.

I just think that it's silly to spend much if any money modding a car that has zero hope of ever being reasonably fast. Whether that be because the engine sucks, the chassis sucks, it's FWD, whatever. I just don't get spending money modding a car that could easily be upgraded to another car if you saved up a few grand.

That's my issue with "ricing" a car up, anyway. Also much hate for jackasses who take the rear trunk badges off their 325's to hide their inadequacy. Or better yet, who put an M in front of it.
