Soooo Sad--Guitar Hero

I was on CNN.com checking the real news and I saw this in the national headlines:
Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

First of all the fact that this was on CNN was so sad. And the fact that the kid said breaking the record was "soooo big" is just crazy. It's a high score on a video game since when is that national news? Once again, it's a video game. What's next? An ESPN for video games? At the end I laughed at his comments on trying to play a real guitar. Seriously what is our world coming to?

What a little brat. Guitar Hero comes with singing and he wouldn't even play with his mother?

Starcraft is highly competitive though. If you accept Chess as a sport, you'll have to consider RTS pro gaming.

Guitar Hero is the very opposite of a hardcore competitive.

Chess is not a sport, and never will be a sport. It's a game.
Did this article remind anyone else of the Guitar Hero South Park episode?

No, it was too obvious for that.

And for chess not being a sport, just like an asshole you are entitled to your opinion. Even one that doesn't matter.

The IOC disagrees with you: Olympic sports - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nevermind that he doesn't even have a reason, sport and game isn't mutually exclusive.

I'll warn the Olympic Committee ASAP: Occido from the Internet found dictionary.reference.com and chess is not a sport.

This needed its own thread even less than it needed a cnn video.

No one gives a fuck when you cry about people playing video games, Burke.
