+58 Internets   | BC is nice and all but put me in the "don't give a shit anymore" category when it comes to this. Yeah there's a PS2 game here and there I still want to play, but 99.7% of the time I really don't give two shits about playing a game 3+ years into next generation systems. And if there's some game on PS2 that I just absolutely must play because somehow in all my years as a PS2 owner I never had it, until now, and my life will not be complete until this game is... I'll spend 15 seconds hooking up my PS2

+3 Internets | For the first time in three years and after $300 in price cuts since launch, the PS3 is expected to be the number one console when figures are released, with 400k units sold, to the Wii's 375k and the 360's 370k. EEDAR expects PS3 to be top selling console in Sept. Pachter's prediction - "We estimate sell-through of 390,000 Wii hardware units (down 45% from last year), 350,000 Xbox 360 (up 1% from last year), and 410,000 PS3 consoles (up 76% year-over-year) as the price cuts for all three consoles spurred demand." Only 1 PS3 game expected to be in the top 10 - Batman. |

| Instead of making a completely new thread, I just picked up a PS3 today, was gonna grab Demon's Souls but It wasn't in. I only have Killzone2 at the moment, what are some good games worth picking up? My priority so far is to find a copy of Valkyria Chronicles as soon as I can, How is Uncharted? I was also curious to know if anyone here has played Cross Edge? Looks kind of interesting I guess. I may give heavenly sword a shot just because its cheap? Any real good recommendations?

As for what I'd recommend, I really liked DS, Infamous, and MLB 09: The Show so far this year, plus Uncharted 2 will be awesome judging on the multiplayer demo alone, not to mention the excellent reviews it's getting. Also pick up MGS4 if you have an interest in the MGS games, Uncharted 1 if you plan on getting the sequel, and Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles if you like strategy rpgs. LBP was one of my favorite games last year too, but I don't think it had that much appeal around these forums. And lastly, the Ratchet games are great games to pick up when you find them on sale or in the bargain bin imo. | |

| Uncharted is a must play. Unless you find a good used copy deal its probably best to rent it and bust through it over a weekend, its kinda short. Uncharted 2, on the other hand, is going to be a must buy for every ps3 owner. Unless you aren't limited to any kind of budget I wouldn't get to carried away with buying older titles. | Killzone 2 is a great start. I've wasted so many hours playing that game. Personally I prefer the weightier feel; As this is my online shooter of choice I hasve a hard time going back to the floating gun feel that other FPS' have. Get your PS3 hooked up to the PSN and get Wipeout HD + fury. Absolutely gorgeous game.

| I agree, KZ2 is pretty awesome. I'm definitely enjoying it. I'll definitely give Uncharted a shot soon, Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3 are definitely on my list theyre just a little bit harder to find these days it seems. As for my PS2, I think two of my absolute favorite series would be shin megami games and .hack series, I was a big RPG whore on my PS2, not so much anything else as I found the controller hard to use for FPS's and what not which isn't as bad anymore now that i've put some playtime into KZ2. I'll probably give MGS a shot just because its so cheap now, I was never good at those kinds of games, the only one i could play through was MGS2, which was fun as balls but 3 I absolutely hated :\
