This game is a lot of fun.

Has anyone addressed whether or not it is true that you can play it online even if you didn't buy the game.

Thanks in advance fellows.

So where do you make this fix for non-steam version?

I dunno but that fix is awesome.

I'm only level 37 so when I logged in after this change with a full inventory of guns I only found one that had a 5th line and it was like +%5 reload speed or something so I'm hopeful that I haven't thrown away too many 5th-line-of-text guns so far. Maybe the frequency of them increases at higher levels though. In any case it's kind of amazing that they released the game like that. I blame consoles.

Same place, but not the whole steam stuff? I mean, it has Borderlands/WillowGame so just check directly in there.

It wasn't stellar but I sort of appreciate the subtlety of it. The pan out to the Hyperion satellite with her saying 'I'll be watching you' pretty much said it all. I liked the way it ended there. A bit more meat leading up to that part would have been nice though I'll admit.

Ending was terrible sure they left it open for a sequel of some sort, but uhh 200 years in the future? wut? Also, I still fail to see the importance of the satellite being a Hyperion Satellite, can someone clarify? People keep saying oh I liked how it was a Hyperion Satellite: Why? From my understanding Hyperion is just a munitions company in game is it not?

Yeah, they're a munitions company in the game, they also made the New-U posts as well.

However, I think Hyperion is a lot bigger than just guns and ammo. I also think the woman that speaks to you throughout the game isn't real.
I think she's an AI not an actual person. Mainly because she drops hints through out the game that elude to her being "immortal".

Like... "The vault will not open again in YOUR life time"

So if you go by the style of the game, she's rather a god/angel or an AI.
Since Hyperion focuses on technology I'm going to say she's just a super computer AI.
Even though the satellite did have "Angel" written on it.
I guess she could also be an advance "super-human" type alien race too, I guess

All it was is a little bit of corporate espionage. Hyperion corp didn't want Atlas to open the vault so they used you as a puppet to go fuck shit up.

When you make the change and save it make sure you are saving it as .INT not .txt.

Sheeeeeyit.

Just Googled Borderlands hidden chest and after some digging found the following. A hidden so called 'Dev chest that the devs put in for demonstrations. been farming it for a while and it drops really nice gear, spent a couple days farming other spots and this definitely is not a normal chest :

Just farmed the Dev box/New Haven boxes for about an hour (on playthrough 2 1/2). Got some decent stuff from the Dev box but I didn't see anything that made me go "Holy shit!" -- opened it a few times just to find a single shitty white. Not exactly the holy grail of farming, but probably worth getting in on before they patch it out or something.
