Mirror's Edge 2

I'm glad to see that they're going to be making another one of these. I really enjoyed the first one and with a few more refinements, the sequel could be the big seller the first one deserved to be.

Yes please! I loved the first one. I just hope they expand a bit more on the idea. Sure it had some sort of story but let us travel to different areas and environments and for God sakes, make the game longer than seven hours.

Easily the most disappointing game I played last year. It would take a major revamp of just about every aspect of the game to make the sequel into what they claimed the first one was going to be.

Hopefully small team means they got rid of the retard who thought those cutscenes between missions look like anything other than utter shit. Watching eSurance commercials is more entertaining than they were.

It took great feats of technical wizardry for me to even be able to play this game.

It amazed me that they never patched it, there were droves of people having the same issues. Just another horribly ported console game...

Then when I actually got it started I pretty much agree with Vorph's opinion. The franchise has a lot of promise though.

Do you have a 360 or were you limited to the PC version? I try to avoid ports as much as possible for that very reason. It usually makes an otherwise fun game abysmal.

That's strange, I never had any problems with it. I thought it was a pretty decent game too, just too short.

Played just fine on my PC, few crashes but nothing major. My complaint is looking back the game was only fun when I moving forward, dieing constantly and having to redo areas over and over until you get it just right killed the flow of the game for me and a lot of the fun.

Time attack was fun, but only after you learned where to go by heart. Still a great game.

Loved the first one, and had zero problems with it. It ran exactly like a FPS should on the PC.

One of the top 2 best games of last year imo. Breaking peoples world records and doing near perfect speed runs was totally exhilarating. The game just felt so good.

Too much combat really in the first.

horrible combat. Very poorly told story. Platforming 1st person = fail (though, I hate platforming in general so I'm not exactly one to talk).

Hate when people say this. The only chapters that actually require you to do combat are chapters 7 & 9. You can run past everything else.

Right, still too much combat. That one section where you start at the top of a series of stairs and wide-open platforms made me want to kill someone at DICE by the time I actually got to the bottom and outside without dying. The concept of block & counter/disarm was cool, but the way it actually worked in the game was complete shit. It should have been much more fluid than it was.

Are you talking about chapter 8? If what you're talking about is the part I'm thinking of I can get through that part without getting shot in under 10 seconds. It's called find a new path instead of acting like it's a linear game with only 1 way to do it. Video of the WR of Chapter 8. This guy doesn't even do that stair section the best way, but it shows how you can bypass combat if you know what you're doing.

Holy hell at that video. I died quite a bit on that final part where all the cops come up the stairs. Jesus. :|
