| Looks like FF7 requires firmware 5.5 on your PSP which is a no go for us CFW users. However you can spoof most games into thinking you are running an official firmware with just a small amount of tinkering. Sony PSP CFW : Getting purchased Final Fantasy VII from PSN Store working on CFW 5.00x | Games | Tech-Recipes This one worked great for me as I didnt want to get rid of my CFW but I did want to support this release on the PSN. Hope it helps someone else.

| FFVII was a great game for its time, more so because most had never played a FFVII till it was put on PS1 to begin with. Call it what you may, say its over hyped, but it brought in tons of money and new fans to the genre because of that over-hyped game. |

| In my school FF7 was the first "nerd" genra aka RPGs game that the "cool" and "popular" kids would play and be heard in public talking about- many of them played EQ but closeted- this lead to what is now the openness of WoW players nerd and "popular" alike. What caused this? I dunno maybe it was the Cloud crossdressing...I look forward to starting this game up tonight much to my wife saying "Why are you playing this...this is old...what is this shit?" I will then later call her in to just watch Aries get pwned by Sepheroth.

We can get into a discussion about the failings of FF7 or Halo, but your post was stupid. Just like this second one!

You know, I was going to do the same for Halo but why bother. You are clueless.

| The retardation here is astounding. FF7 was a massive step in pushing RPGs mainstream because at the time it was that fucking good. 9.8 million copies. It has the #2 spot best selling PS1 games only beaten by Gran Turismo. No other RPG can claim this. Hell, not even Halo has touched FF7's numbers. It's not my favorite, it's not the best, but it sure as fuck is one of the best and at the time it came out it floored everything else and it has sold that much for a damn good reason. Btw, FF6 only sold 2.55 million Japan and a good deal less in the US. The jump in user base for RPGs pretty much skyrocketed with FF7. Last edited by Sean; 06-03-2009 at 02:58 PM.. |
