Agreed. That snare is pretty strong if Arachna is a good 2-3 levels higher than everyone else. 1v1, most don't stand a chance. But of course, Arachna has very low HP and can be easily taken down as you mentioned.

It is a pretty incredible item for any agi hero. Just played a game where I got it on luna and having both the images also drain mana and have bouncing glaives is ridiculous.

Nullfire Blade is just really underused because of the lack of good ranged agi heroes and the fact that the purge doesn't dispell Jereziah's immunity shield or Hellbringers infernal (most common time to buy it in dota was to counter those 2 heroes)

If Nullfire Blade ever gets buffed up to dota usefullness you will probably start seeing Geometer's Bane built more often.

Kuldra (Scythe), Savage Mace (MKB) and whatever else gives you dps is a great item after hellflower. Hell, you can stack hellflowers and melt faces.

what i've done is a more defensive style / support puppet.

boots/rune to start->glow stone->beast heart->pickled brain->

at this point i make a decision. if they are stacked agi chars i work towards enhanced marchers for the added def/speed. if we're doing well i get lifetube/manatube for endurance in lanes. once i get one i get the other following.

after that i branch out, either work towards frostfield plate or stack hellflowers if we have tanks. best build? probably not, but fits my playstyle well. i also usually pair with a devour/magebane/pest/swiftblade early so we can harass well.

No. Stop. You're doing it wrong.

Anyway, a big reason you don't see Geometer's Bane much is because it's bugged / wrongly implemented. It doesn't give you the +250 hp it should from the Vitality Booster, so you actually lose hp the moment you buy the recipe.

Nullfire does purge Jereziah's "Charm." It doesn't dispel Hellbringer's Malphas summon though, which may or may not be intended currently.

The last time I tried was several patches ago and it definitely didn't work but I haven't tried since then because I never saw it mentioned in patch notes.

Good question. I went away for a week, the clan patch went in, and now there's only 3-5 people in foh, when there used to easily be over 12.

Quite a few of us formed an actual FoH clan and just hang out in the clan channel now. Plus there's waning interest in the game from the non-long time DoTA fans I think. A lot of board people who logged in, played 1 or 2 times and now I haven't seen since.

Personally I'm reaching that point. HoN would be a great game if it weren't for the people who play it.

I play with my RL friends and that's pretty much it. I also like the e-z mode games a lot more than the regular games because it's way more forgiving and you can come back from pretty far behind. We had this one game where a team came in and wiped out almost our entire base (left our main majiggy at less than 20hp, to boot), but we pushed them back and out, and then again, and then we got a genocide on them, and we ended up pushing their base and winning it just as one of their heroes was coming in for the killing blow on ours. You just don't get that in normal mode.
