I've been playing but it seems like an even more polarized dota community, with ultra-douchebags on one end and ultra-noobs on the other. I sit somewhere in the middle since I was good at DOTA but am still learning to visually recognize who's who in HoN, and the level of douchebaggery is pretty extreme in some cases.

Still fun though.

Yep. Douchebags and newbs on one team = not a very pleasant playing experience. Still, an excellent game if you can roll with a group of friends (goes the same for DotA).

EU timezone didnt have dota douchebags so far for me, only annoying newbs that didnt want to listen to advice.

Yes, I find the same to be true.

The game itself is great(that's not breaking the NDA, right?) and it takes awhile to learn the differences between this game and DOTA if you were a heavy DOTA fan, but it's nothing too overwhelming.

The people though...yea fuck that. Perhaps it is because it is a BETA, perhaps it is because only the l33t of DOTA migrate over to it, but it is absolutely full of fucking reject assholes. There are some noobs too but I can deal with that much easier. Help people just like I was helped at some point.

But the asshole douchebags will start a game saying noobs welcome, but put all the noobs on one team and then own them 50 kills to 2. How is that a fun game for either side? I dunno, I guess I am just a looser or something but I have never found that style of PvP fun. I used to have this friend in WoW who would spent his time at level 70 sitting in some lowbie zone ass raping level 20 people. He would do this all night. That is what this shit reminsd me of. Part of the reason I tend to hate PvP...DoTA and HoN get around that since there are no levels or gear earned outside of the individual match.

I really don't understand why Icefrog gave permission for a direct ripoff of DotA. I hope he's making money off of it somehow.

With that being said...the few videos of this that I could find look fucking amazing. So if anyone has an extra key I will love you long time!
