| It's not photoshopped, you can check it yourself. That screenshot was taken before they fixed the numbers getting chopped off in the stat screen, the real kills on the Hellbourne side are 4, 10, 13, 15, 9. And no, I wasn't involved in that game at all, I just saw it on the HoN forums and cringed at the absolute ass raping that Soulstealer would have been able to pull off with those items. |

Being able to dominate the lane phase is the #1 thing you can do to help win games. Even though it's a team game, there is very little a team can do if they lose 2 out of 3 lanes and go 0-10 in the first 10 minutes. This ties into what you guys are talking about when choosing lanes and pairing appropriate heroes together. You can choose 5 perfect heroes that are "great because of X,Y,Z" but if they can't win the lanes they are in due to hero-choice or player skill, your team has no chance of winning anyways.

| You are not damn right | sand wraith you just have to bide your time. I like black legion into abysall skull into nullfire into mock. You don't have alot of killing potential early game, but your skills still make you a good team carry (plus you bring the lifesteal to the table) and you really shouldn't be dying at all - and slowly but surely you build yourself up. Sand wraith is probably the single most late game of all the carries. Scout is up there too because his disable becomes more and more powerful as your enemies become the same.

| My sand wraith is build a little different. Depends on the game, but if I can I start right off on nullfire for extra ganking/chasing capabilities. Then I go right off to build the hero for +hp. I don't get barbed armor because he already have an ability that is supperior to that one, since it is AoE dmg. All you need is HP and let dissipate handle the rest. Geomancer's bane is good too... and dissipate also works on your images! The thing with carries that not a lot of people think about is how to take advantage of a carry in a game. Any hero in the game (even int) can be a carry if you get the right items for it. I played a team the other day that was carrying with ophelia (OPHELIA FOR FUCKS SAKES!). But what earns a carry its carry title before the game even starts? Scalable abilities. What are scalable abilities? +% dmg (based on dmg), procs (based on attack speed), return dmg (based on % dmg taken, hence HP), etc. So in order to build a carry hero you need to focus on the right stats. If you play a carry that has awesome attack speed and you focus on getting attack speed, you are wasting your scalability. Get items like nullfire, chain lightning, bash, etc that takes advantage of that! ----------- Mock is an interesting item. It does help a lot in battles, but you should only get it if you have been farming a lot. Helps you farm further and helps a bit on certain battles. It isnt particularily good for sandwraith because it doesnt stack. YEah it is good for team battles, and chasing... which is still a viable item build. I just believe there are better items that will help the hero in the end game. Last edited by PerritoBites; 11-05-2009 at 05:10 AM.. |

+5 Internets | Well it was a really long game. My team had a Soulstealer and and another high DPSer (I think Hammerstorm) that was doing enough dmg without my help, so I went pure tank. The main reason being that I was against a puppet and a dark lady, so when they came in on me, it was goodnight in 2-3 seconds from them killing themselves on dispersion + blademail + mjollnir kickback. And they had no choice but to attack since i was pushing solo... fun stuff. |
