| Backdooring is the equal of playing a capture the flag game where a battle is going on and you have a scout snag the flag from behind enemy lines. It is legal, add depth to the game, and it is hard to accomplish unless you are against noobs. |

| Its a legitimate tactic, and I've ended way more stalemates caused by even teams by backdooring then I've caused by getting in a backdoor war. Plus, one of the most epic games I've ever played was a backdoor war that lasted 82 minutes and it ended up my tree had 2 hits left when we won. Everyone on vent was freaking out. |

| I try to backdoor as much as possible in pubs because it seems to make people nerd rage like crazy. While the game itself is fun, the best part of the game is talking shit. I don't know why, but for some reason HoN/Dota just makes shit talking extremely fun. Anyone that bitches about backdooring is a scrub. Saying you have to fight face-to-face is retarded. |

| I actually agree. The community sucks so bad that talking crap after they've been dicks for 35 straight minutes but you BD two towers FTW is awesome. It just wouldn't be the same if you couldn't insult the other team...its just the constant in-team bashing that is retarded. |

| Just played a couple games as a Hellbringer. That guy is a fucking assist machine, it's ridiculous. Don't get many kills, but my K/D so far with him is slightly above 1:1, plus 36 assists in 2 games. He seems to fade late game, but harassing for the first 10 levels is very easy and effective with him. |

| Yeah. Scout is really nice now. Vanish is crazy... 6 second cooldown with nearly no mana cost at rank 4. The wards are really good too, one terrific thing about them is if you grab the skill at level 1 you can ward both rune spots (since you get 2 wards at rank 1 now, and its a 30 sec CD) and leave the observation wards for gank protection/farming/holding onto for later. Also great that you can plant and activate wards while invisible. Not as good as NH cloud but pretty close. DD rune + 4 quick attacks with possible crits from vanish = oh wow. Took down a magebane who was jungling before he even had time to react and blink, didn't even think about silencing him first heh. |

+39 Internets | The only issue of the new scout is Vanish rank1-2 are really fucking shitty, so you can't really grab a few easy kills/harass early on, since you pop out then you can't rehide for a stupid amount of time(24 then 18secs I think?). Even rank3 is so-so so that reduces your ganking potential quite a bit. He is much better now though, but I've found that using marksman shot as an opener wasn't all that good unless you had a very coordinated attack, since you pop first, can't rehide and waste your out of vanish attack speed bonus thingie. Since they reduced the cast time on it, I think using it as a finisher is a much better choice now. As for wards, for the silence they're much better than nighthound cloud, but obviously cloud also gives 80% miss so it's better overall. I haven't had a chance to play the 2 new guys even though they're in every game I play, Necrolyte seems decent but his role seems more passive he rarely does crazy stuff, the lich port though fucking rapes with his ulti if there's no creeps around. His ulti+voodoo jester cask at engagement and you're already in deep deep shit from the start. Also had someone playing kraken just now, he looks really nice now. Tidal pull range seems rather small though, like you can't melee the guy you're slowing unless you have a really good attack cancel timing. His new ulti is nice though, you can pick what to teleport and when you want it which is awesome. Too bad we played with a terrible team so we couldn't do shit about his ulti. Fucking first pick wildsoul, last pick chronos, awesome. |

Necrolyte requires a very good player to shine but he is honestly the scariest intel hero in dota in a good players hands. He is basically unkillable if he is farmed, his AE absolutely destroys when he can spam it, and if he gets BoT/Post haste he is the fastest farmer in the game thanks to his mana regen on kill. Biggest thing with necrolyte is the person playing him has to be good at last hitting otherwise his shit mana regen makes him very passive early game. Late game once he gets his sac stone + staff of master/refresher/heart he is basically unstoppable since he can essentially kill the entire enemy team by afking especially after the 1% battle regen heart change.

| So far I have been chain playing Soul Reaper, and got one game as new Kraken. Kraken is really really fun now, and is finally a completely unique hero instead of malabortioned Tidehunter. But god do I ever rape as Necrolyte, I know I am playing him wrong (pub style instead of pro style farmfest), but its just too much fun. Start with Talisman of Exile (INT Bracer), or Power Supply, w/ Tree Runes. Instead of going Post Haste, I go New Steamboots and New Stormspirit. +100 Move speed, +125% Mana Regeneration, +26 INT, +5 Armor and the Cyclone effect, for like 4300 gold. Then straight to Staff of the Master. Games usually end about here, just as I hit 16 and get mega death ult. But god, just kiting people to death with Heartstopper Aura and Death Pulse spam is so win. Only complaint about him, is his sound effects are completely lacking. They seem to have just borrowed a bunch of effects from other hero's and threw them on him. Also, you would think the guy made of bone would have some type of clinkity sound when he walks, like Jereziah (only its bone clacking together instead of metal). Otoh, Lich has a full set of new sounds and is completely win. Wtb Spectre. Edit: Can someone tell me what Aghanim's did for Clockwerk in DotA? I see they just added it to Pharaoh, but I have no idea what it boost exactly (probably damage?) Last edited by CyrusReij; 09-19-2009 at 04:44 PM.. |

Prior to 6.61 aghanims change it never did anything. With aghan now it lowers CD of hook shot dramatically and allows clock to target either allies or enemies. CD without scepter = 80/60/40 with scepter it is 20/20/20. Basically makes clock unkillable since he can spam hook shot to engage an enemy or escape by targeting an ally. It's also very good because clock really has no item build that makes him shine compared to other heroes so something that actually helps him as a hero is a major plus. Hell I still play clock like an intel generally going sheep stick after getting scepter because I think it's the best item for him.
