| it's gonna be a novelty item, nothing more. the only real use for this is sports/exercise games. no one wants to play an fps for over an hour like that or any other game. there's a reason nintendo chose the design of the wii controller in such a way: 4 people can play from a couch. you gonna get 4 people jumping and kicking in the living room? no. us older gamers have seen the same shit, different color dozens of times. from the activator to the virtual boy to the eye toy. it's the same neat thing that serves no real purpose in most games. |

| natal = novelty for "core" games we've had 3 YEARS of the wiimote and what CORE games have the top tier devs come up with- absolute shit for the most part- several 2nd tier and 3rd tier devs have come up with very good games, but that is about it. natal does NOT transpose well for the fps genre how are you firing, how are you aiming, sure the turning of the head will work well but imo that is about it, you are going to want a Gun attachment (from a personal perspective i WANT something in my hands when doing a gun genre game, pointing the finger and doing the pull trigger motion just doesn't "do it" for me)(nyko wand with gun attachment, wiimote with gunshell -something similar for the 360 etc) for the fps/light gun genre to really shine on the 360- and frankly lightgun genre is LOCKED UP on the wii. fps the wii is gaining steam- look at Red Steel, that game looks Awesome - locked at 60fps wiimotion plus for swords etc.- look at the conduit-which Several devs have said that IT (the conduit) is the benchmark to use now when doing an fps game, you have to match what HVS did or exceed it. Sony is bringing out the Wand today is the rumors at their conference Welcome the motion control future gang oh ya another Rumor (nintendo booth has tarps over several sections hiding it from view gaf ran filters through photo shop and we have super mario bros something (it's in the wii section of their booth) Super Mario Bros. Wii being announcd in ~3hrs Last edited by Lenardo; 06-02-2009 at 07:33 AM.. |

| A lot of people enjoy online MP games when it boils down to it, and when you think on that the 360 is the clear choice. Now if Natal is successfully implemented like the potential allows it, they can come up with a plethora of "intriguing" MP games to support it. Sure the Wii outsells the 360 hands down but how many will use the Wii for MP gaming compared to a 360? Even if it does not have huge FPS potential applications, there are still a ton of things that can be done with something like this. Far more than pre-programmed waggle controls! I saw someone mention how will you walk forward with the Natal, that was what I was wondering as well, because depending on how they fix that will determine some of its gaming applications. However even without the ability to walk forward, the voice recognition and response system from Milo could be implemented in fable to do away with control responses and allow you to actually converse with the random people you encounter in the game. That may or may not be a plus to some, but it is "something" in the end. |

| It's hardly a rumor when Japan's Nikkei newspaper flat out said it was coming out this year, a couple days back. It'll be two years since Nintendo put out the same-gen engine Galaxy. It would be more shocking if it _wasn't_ out soon. It'll also be three years since last-gen Zelda came out. Although I suspect Nintendo would prefer Zelda++ came out for November 2010, they may not be able to stretch that long and might release it in Spring 2010. |

| I will now sum up the Nintendo conference before it begins. Reggie appears on stage, discusses annual sales on how awesome nintendo is at selling games to casual gamers. Reggie will then show an up to date trailer of the new Zelda game on a train. Reggie will announce additional colors for the DSi. Reggie will introduce Miyamoto, who will announce a new casual piece of shit game with an overpriced peripheral quite possibly Wii Fit 2. Miyamoto will do a silly dance because EVERYBODY loves when Miyamoto does a silly dance! Games such as Red Steel 2 and what not will be shown trailers by Reggie. Miyamoto/Reggie will make an excuse about the hardcore gamers, and unveil the next Zelda for the Wii. I bet i will get at least half of this correct.

+75 Internets | Molyneux' new toy seems cool, but he's full of shit in his interview. I was interested in SW: The old republic until I found out it was an MMO. Can't really make good jedi gameplay in an MMO. Last edited by Tuco; 06-02-2009 at 08:07 AM.. |

Nintendo chose the design of the Wiimote so they could have 4 people sitting on a couch? We already have 4 people jumping and kicking in the same room. It happened in November 06 when Wii Sports launched. You post the same stupid shit every fucking time. Great job comparing Virtual Boy to Natal. Same goddam thing. | |

+25 Internets | I see limited gaming potential with Natal (at least in the kind of gaming that interests me), but huge interface/domotics potential.
