Blu-Ray is the only good thing PS3 has going for it over the 360.
Heh, if you take a look at the 360 games to recommend thread you'd think the 360 only had like 6 exclusives, and 3 of those are "B" level jrpg's. I'm pretty sure that in the time the PS3 has been out vs. the 360 the PS3 actually has MORE exclusives. Especially when you actually use the true definition of the word exclusive, which means games like Mass Effect, Gears of War, and Left 4 Dead don't count. PS3 firmware updates only happen a few times a year, big deal, they've never bothered me or any sane person I know. Another thing the PS3 has over the 360 is future line ups. The 360 has very little to get excited about in the pipeline, while the PS3 has a lot imho. I realize MS usually doesn't announce everything they've got coming, but come on, it's March already, throw a freaking bone. I can't comment on XBL because I haven't been on XBL in a long time, but PSN has always been good enough for me, very little to no lag on most games I play and it's fast enough for my connection. I'm just glad I don't gotta pay even more bills just to do something as trivial as play online multiplayer.

Done and here is the content of my comment box:

Quote:
Like:
- Sony's publishing policy (very original games, especially on the PSN Shop).
- The power.
- All games being region free.
- The fact I can use non proprietary periferals (mouse, keyboard).
- Free online play.

Dislike:
- The fact you can't easily shop on all 3 PSN stores (you have to make dummy accounts and buy pre-paid cards).
- The price of Dual Shock 3 controllers.
- The very slow interface when you try to use the crossbar while playing (a functionality that was strangely an afterthought and was patched in).
I think the list of X360 exclusive I would have wanted to play and could not is still limited to the lone Braid. The list gets a little longer (Mass Effect, Left4Dead...) if you consider the games you have no access to if, like me, you only have a PS3 and no gaming PC.

Oddly, the list would be longer for the Wii, though I keep forgetting I have one... I still need to buy No More Heroes and I am still waiting on a PAL version of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, but since it was released 7 months ago in Japan without, to this date, a single sign of an occidental release, I guess we can kiss that one good-bye.

ps3 > xbox for me mainly due to that I'm a pc gamer. in the year i've had my ps3, i've gotten about 10 games and rarely play online currently. there's no way i'd pay for xbox live w/ the frequency i play online and that would thus encourage me to buy less games.

I assumed it was Wii-esque controls... what else would make sense?

I put in the comment box that I only use my PS3 for BluRay/DVD, mainly because of how much I already have invested in Xbox 360 and LIVE!.

MS knew what they were doing when they launched early, sure I've been bitten by the RROD issue a few times since 2005, but they've always fixed it for free. Then again I shouldn't have to go through the crap of boxing it up and sending it in, waiting 2 weeks etc... Still I have over 400 songs purchased for Rock Band and other expansions, DLC for games that I just can't justify moving to the PS3 and wasting all that money.

nothing makes sense because every console is by definition interactive. The level of interactivity depends on the game, not the console.

The interactivity option was referencing wii-like controls or just innovative ways to play like the ds touch screen for instance. Sorry if that was clear it's hard to describe in a survey question. You are right about the dependency for games but that goes along with the console since some systems have more games that support this type of play.

Survey taken.

Basically on the comments if I wanted a Blu Ray I woud probably just purchase a standalone now. The Xbox Marketplace is more accessible in my opinion and has more to it with easier navigation. Many more games that I enjoy, and easier configurability + Netflix.

Killzone 2 and Metal Gear would be the only reasons why I would consider it, and I just cannot justify the pricetag considering blu ray players are about to take a dive in price, if they have not already.

Listed Xbox 360 as 1, Wii as 2 because it's fun to play with other people, and 3 for Ps3.
