I bought it right away. I've been wanting to try it (with mods) for a long time, but I just knew that they would have a sale sooner or later if I remained patient.

I picked up STALKER while waiting for the LFD2 demo to become available. Not impressed... I thought it was going to be a straight FPS, but it has RPG elements. Inventory systems, quests, & stuff like that. Could be my computer, but the game doesn't look that great.

The worst part though is the movement. Your default is a very slow walk where the screen shakes like an earthquake or it is trying to induce a seizure, and the run button is a toggle that gets turned off if you strafe left or right. Very frustrating... don't think I will get more than 30 minutes out of this game, which is fine. For $5.00, sometimes you get what you pay for.

There is a patch for it that makes it a little better, but making shit only a little better is like removing the smell.

Wow. I had just checked it and it said 2.50 and posted above, played a game of LoL, refreshed it and its back up to 20. May want to keep your eye on it, could be a random thing all weekend.

Looks like they've dropped it twice now, for about 2 hours each time. I guess just keep checking their blog randomly to see if it continues - I think it will given halloween is tomorrow.
