so...all the hard drive space on these consoles are meant for you to download your games onto them? And there is /not/ rabid hacking/warez going on with this? I figured the hard drive was just for downloadable games off XBL/PSN etc, music, avi's and saved games :-P always wondered why you needed 160gigs on your ps3 lol

I haven't read up in it in a long time, but from what I remember you have to mod the xbox for warez, but the sucky part is you get kicked off live. If you don't care about xbox live I think there are some out there that don't even require you to solder anymore.

Like I said in my previous post I'm actually interested too to hear what people fill up their HDD with that isn't music and movies. I know you can download old xbox games through the market place, but thats the only other thing I can think of that fills up a drive besides demos.

Got mine, also bought Dead Rising and Ninja Gaiden Black.

Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with NG:B. I've been killed more times by the shitty as fuck camera than actual enemies. It's like it's constantly trying to get into the worst possible position that it can and you have to just keep hitting the center camera button over and over and over again. Is there somewhere to turn "Shitcam" to Off?

And fuck these ninjas that throw the exploding sticky bombs. I still haven't found a good way to fight them. The camera is so fucking awful you can't keep them all on the same screen so that you can see if one is throwing explosives.

But yeah, big let down so far. The combat is fun as hell but constantly having to deal with the camera going into the worst possible spots over and over again is getting old super fast. It's like they balanced the entire game around the notion that your true opponent is the terrible camera (*coughresidentevilcough*)

Oh, the Netflix stuff rocks. I was hoping you could actually browse and search via the console but oh well. It's still damn awesome.

seems dell.com rarely does not have 10/15/20% off PS3 recently- maybe a few days but a new one comes out within a few weeks after the other expires.

I still think I am just going to camp the CC right by my work for when they will sell me the display PS3- for whatever their videogame -% off is at the time- atm its 30% so I figure 40% by the time they get down to display models getting sold.

Lots of shit was on sale for 20%-30% off when I went last to CC, and the prices were still awful. Most prices were still slightly above retail. The one thing that sucks is that when the prices get down to a certain amount, average joe is going to walk in and buy out all the consoles and sell them on ebay.

I just got a refurbed from CompUSA - its a 60gig so its /hardware/ backwards compatable price was 280$ - 2$ shipping and f-u-sales tax made it 318$ to my door as Dell.com for a new 80gig is 320$ + tax.

I chose a refurb over new becuase of the price and full hardware backwards comptability- even if they do drop te price by 100$ mine was still 10$ cheeper and has BC so I am excited to get my ps3 in the main in a few days- picked up at CC rambo 1 and 2 on blueray to test it out, iornman at target is 20$ on blueray but they was out- also saw for 15$ the super redone Alexander...seems kinda intiresting may rent it
