+9 Internets | Excellent news. The first Mass Effect was one of the best games I've played (mostly in terms of characterization and story rather than gameplay) in recent years, and it is about time they announce a sequel. Hopefully, the fact that this time it's not going to be exlusive to the 360 means they'll have even more money to work with and make it an even better, longer game than its predecessor. |

+3 Internets | Ha I was just thinking earlier today how great of a story this game had, wondering when they were gonna announce the sequel. I'm definitely looking forward to them expanding on the races and possibly getting a chance to visit their home worlds / cities. The bar was set fairly high on the first one, but like Runnen said, more so in terms of characters and dialogue. As far as I'm concerned, improvements to controls and game play will be very hard to botch. However, the story and "feel" of the Mass Effect universe is something I really hope they don't screw up. Here's to hoping that just as much detail is given to the sequel. |

| Didn't they announce a long time ago they had already given the go-ahead Bioware for at least 3 ME games?

| The first one was a great game, one of the best story line games I've ever played. The second will have a hard time living up to the first in that regard but hopefully with some tweaks to the controls and maps it will still be a great game.

My major complaints/hopeful fixes for next time: -No Mako section(s). If we get any vehicle to control, give us the Normandy at least. If mako sections do make a comeback, please make a more clear cut "path" and less scale giant 89 degree mountains. -Tedious scanning needs to go. Scanning a bunch of empty planets for minerals = boring. Ditto that with hacking downed probes and shit (especially when equipment is level-based and ultimately random when dropping). - Better inventory system. Please for the love of god use a better inventory system. It would also be awesome if there were more side-grade worthy equipment, and not clear cut BETTER shit per level. All of my characters ended up using the exact same armor (Colossus w/2 med exo's) and weapons (Spectre X).

| I loved the first one. Mass Effect and The Witcher are the only Action/RPG style games I've that actually kept me interested all the way to the end.
