The recent spoilered conversation is interesting though and if true is somewhat usual in round-robin styled tournies. I hate it but it is tough to stop these situations from happening and hey, there is some real money on the line now.

+6 Internets | Heh yeah I had someone neg me for not using spoiler tags in a post I made over a month before the neg...even though there were no spoilers. It's pretty ridiculous really. Honestly if it's a video that's been posted, or any Gomtv stuff posted Monday or later so everyone gets a chance to see it beforehand, I don't see a problem with not using spoilers. As for Jaedong throwing the match, you could tell that he was moderately trying, but when he just dragged his mutas all around letting them get raped it was fairly apparent. The guy has like an 80% win rate against Zerg. I'm sure he's not going to let people know that he lost on purpose, but his play was about as bad as I've ever seen on it in a game where he benefits more from losing than winning. He may not have thrown it, but I'm sure he didn't really care that he lost. |

+1 Internets | It has got to be nice, to be so fucking good, that when ever you lose, people review the replays looking for where you threw the game. That right there tells you how amazing the guy is. So is this tournament really like a 3 month ordeal? Seems like they could knock one of these things out in under a week if they wanted to. In an unrelated note... I sure hope all these professionals jump on the SC2 band wagon when it comes out. Or I atleast hope that SC2 is good enough to warrant the same type of professional tournament play. Is there a general sentiment that the switch to SC2 will happen or are we going to get a whole new crop of pro's while the originals stick with SC1? |

I haven't read anything where any of the pro-gamers have said they would be switching. I dont think any will switch intially. I mean it took at least a year+, I dont know I didn't pay attention then, before Starcraft was balanced enough to be a real e-sport. I imagine SC2 will take that long as well. Also players will go where the money is, so we will have to wait and see if they have SC2 tourneys worth as much as they are making now playing SC. | |

| I seriously doubt they will switch over in the near future. Didn't it take like 10 years for them to completely balance SC? Blizzard will do a better job in that area with SC2 but there is no way it will be balanced enough for the pros when it gets released. |

| Well, don't forget that you are now playing SC+BW, SC2 has less units, so the potential balance is easier, because there are less units or maybe every side will have some weakness without counter. But it also means less variability, at least until they bring us SC2:Ep2 which will without a doubt add something new. And while they are trying to avoid it, 2D is way easier to watch than 3D |
