I really like Effort. I'm thinking/hoping he becomes the next high level zerg.

Yeah I am not sure why he GGed. I think his economy was basically gone at that point. I am not sure he had time to set up a lurker contain as Flash's econ was basically untouched.

Watch the game more carefully, Flash fucked Hyuk's economy pretty badly with vulture harass and Hyuk had to basically decide on either an all out attack or to lose later due to an inferior economy.

Hyuk only had 14 drones at the 8:30 mark (was 8 per base, 1 vulture kill per base). Flash's drop at 9:20 with 2 vultures killed 3 on minerals before the camera switches to Flash's bridge, but that reveals Hyuk was going all in so he had no units or sunkens to defend his remaining 9-11 drones. Hyuk's all in is around 8 hydralisks 12 zerglings. When he actually types out gg, he has about 4 hydralisks 1 zergling left, Flash still has a bunker, 4 other marines, and mass scvs remaining. Can only assume the vultures took out what was left of Hyuk's starving economy as well.

Regardless, that is a fail build with the vulture harassment being the only thing that won it, but if Hyuk had made any number of better choices it would have been a steamroll.

No way, let's get ggplay. The double hydra den strat was awesome and would have worked against most players.

That set was a great example of games that made me want to reach through the screen and smack the shit out of one of the players.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I'm of course referring to Modesty. Watching him get raped by Wraiths in the 2nd game made me want to scream. He also completely had the third game and just threw it away. Watching his base units just chill out while the Marines raped his defiler mound and den was maddening.

It's also another opportunity to further push my Queens! campaign. 1-2 Queens with ensnare would have put an abrupt halt to the Wraith harassment early on in the 2nd game. One thing that is frustrating with a lot of these pros is they don't seem to think outside of the box. Obviously there are exceptions (<3 Jaedong) but many of these guys don't seem to even consider anything that they haven't used 100 times before.

But yeah, Baby played very well and I look forward to watching his future games.

BTW, is there a good, legit site for buying Starcraft/Broodwar keys? I lost my CDs long ago but watching these tournaments has really got me wanting to play again.

No clue about keys, but if you just want to mess around on the game, if you go to the iccup website, they have a link to download the software and it's all set up for the iccup server. Can't play on b.net though, and you'll get owned to hell when trying to play on the iccup server. But it's better than nothing if you cant find keys and don't want to rebuy it.

I played for like 3 days before I was like "Ya, i'm just going to watch people don't suck". I was clicking to produce units, and buildings and I think my average apm according to the tracker thing that came with the download was like 20. I won one game though, god only knows how. Too bad I lost like 70. I still want to rebuy it at some point though, just to play through the single player again with starcraft 2 on the horizon.

I agree except I wanted to smack baby. How he managed to lose game 2 after he completely outplayed modesty for almost the entire game is beyond me.

Queens are a very hard unit to use. Even Jaedong has said the conditions have to be right for them to be effective, which is why he rarely uses them.

Blizzard Store

This was posted earlier back in the thread I think. You download the games and your account keeps the cd key handy so you never lose it again. Its worth paying $15.
