This Youtube channel is pretty good for the matches, although everything this year has English commentators instead of the original Korean ones

YouTube - VioleTAK's Channel

They've gotten better...they got rid of the kid who hadn't hit puberty, and the spaz one has been reigned in quite a bit!

try these websites if you get more interested in pro-SC:

gomtv.net - with english casting and live streams at certain times, they are running a league of their own and next season it will count towards the official rankings(also known as KESPA)

teamliquid.net - an english website dedicated to SC progaming coverage. It has existed for many years now and has an in depth database + well written articles on SC progaming, and the players behind it. Very good website and very active.

scforall.com , a korean based english SC website that has great english commentaries as well.

As for those people that watch english commentaries on youtube, you are probably listening to casters from sc2gg.com. I will only recommend Klazart. Diggity and Cholera. The rest are very bad and don't truly understand the game at the highest level. Right now there are only a few english casters that are capable of casting at the in depth level and eloquence that the korean casters are capable of, many of whom are former players or coaches themselves.

The meta-game of SC at the pro-level is astounding, and the history of SC as a professional e-sport goes back for almost 10 years.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I have high hopes for Fantasy. He wasn't perfect in the finals, but he has a good, creative style and strong micro.

I think Stork made a brilliant meta game move by proxy rushing in the first set. He just has so much more experience in the finals, something like 4 2nd place finishes, and he was really able to put Fantasy off his game. And really good that Stork finally got a win.
Am I glad I finally watched this.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I was actually expecting Fantasy to take the first game, as he played so strong throughout the OSL. Totally thought Stork would go 3-0 after second game, then he loses three Reavers. Seemed like Stork was falling apart, and then he just dominates that last game with amazing timing despite missing an expansion. Awesome final.

Oh, and look at that, savior taunted again in that first video.

Have any links for pro-WC3? I really only follow starcraft.
What the fuck are you crying about? At least he celebrates his victories instead of sitting there nodding his head like nothing just happened. Go Firebathero, he's a fucking winner. Savior can choke on a dick as far as I'm concerned.

There is a huge difference in celebrating and acting like a total tool when you win. I'm not sure how you can be a fan of someone who prances around taunting the person he beat. Its not like he won the MSL or anything when those happened, they were just ro16 or proleague matches. If you win a pickup basketball game would you parade around the court and thrust your pelvis at the other team? I am more of a fan of his actual play now, so I'm not a total hater, but his behavior is just unsportsmanlike like a lot of times. He also bawls like a baby who just lost his candy when he loses. I did find it amusing when he won the ace set at some tournament on the beach and stripped down to his trunks and went for a celebratory swim, that has some character.

Anyway, enough about that. There is also the GOMTV Classic going on now at GOMTV.net commentated by Tasteless and lil' Susie. There are a lot of big names still in, so definitely worth a watch.

Humiliating the opponent is what it's all about.
Also, how's a pickup game of basketball game the same as playing starcraft in front of thousands of people.. ?

You say he's a winner yet he cried when he got ROFL stomped and humiliated. If he can't take the shit don't do it to other people. All it does is make him look like a fucking tool.

This. Rather someone show that they won than pretend nothing happened.

Showmanship is part of any sport.

Graciousness is better than humiliating the other player; especially when the other player almost whooped his ass (Savior). He's an excellent player, but he needs to realize that his actions make him look like a fool.

I don't really care how they act when they win. It's a new sport that I hope attracts a greater and greater following over the next few years. I would dearly love for the same local english and worldwide coverage that the Koreans are getting. So whatever works for the TV ratings.
It isn't like golf where you are shitting over hundreds of years of the traditions of the game by getting cocky over wins and teary over losses.
Hell, seeing some cocky bastard nearly cry after getting his ass whooped in an important game made the whole thing way more memorable for me. A lot more than if both win and revenge win were simply blank faces post game.

A mix of personalitys is where it's really at. Seeing that modest guy quietly thump the dickwad can be great, and seeing some cocky bastard rain over everyone in a tourney can be refreshing. Plus you know he is eventually setting himself up for an embarrassing fall.

Firebathero had his share of payback for his ceremonies, see his games vs Much for example.
He doesn't hold a grudge though, he even did a parody of himself at the all-star game of what Much did to him.
Recently, after he lost to a very young rookie terran player at GOM he went up to congratulate him in person. People like him are what makes any competitive sports or games exciting without resorting to lame scripted drama like you see for pro-wrestling.

GSL spoilers
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
You talking about his loss to bogus? I haven't seen it yet, but I want to. I saw bogus play zergbong and they were both horrible; FBH is also really awesome at TvT, so I really can't believe it. This GSL has had some really gay upsets, july losing to pepe? What the fuck?! So sad. At least pepe had some pretty nice micro.

Really entertaining game from GOM, Despite the fact that the toss could have won if he built 3 cannons.
XellOs vs Tempest - Game 2 [Final 64 Round 2 Group A] - GOMTV.net

And for those wondering about all the arguing about Firebathero, there is a decent article about it here:

For anyone keeping track of the GOM tournament, have there been anymore matches with Ssak? Watching him vs Shuttle was amazing and I definitely want to see more of his playstyle.
