+166 Internets | The only thing I don't like about StarCraft is you pretty much always have to play 1:1 matches. You can't play 1:1:1 simply because whoever attacks last, wins since they haven't thrown out resources in a grudge match with another player. You look at all the SC matches and how the best ones you have players distance mining just to break even to keep going. Now imagine a third player off on his own turteling and hording resources/teching up while the other two go at it. |

edit: I agree you need non-random damage in professional league play like Starcraft. From what has been said, SC2 will continue the tradition.

Zerg are fun but you have to expand a LOT, which means you have to defend your expansions as you attack. Protoss are deemed the "easy, cheater" race because you can just hotkey a large army of Goons/Zealots and do 1a2a3a (group 1, attack move, so on and so forth). Zerg and Terran take more micro when in the midst of a large battle. Don't get me wrong, I love the flexibility of Toss build orders when you can go for a fast expand with a cannon wall, or do a DT drop, or do a Reaver drop. That variation in build orders (and in races) keeps me hooked on the game. Last edited by Psyqo; 01-05-2009 at 08:27 PM..

Edit: I like terran, mostly because laying down mines all over the goddamn place gives you amazing visibility on the map during the mid-game and you can easily spot an incoming reaver drop or other snakey shit like that. Being able to build command centers and then float them to nodes is also pretty tits, especially if the other guy is really good at harassing. Good science vehicle usage feels like goddamn sploiting against protoss as well. Last edited by Zehn - Vhex; 01-05-2009 at 09:30 PM..

+49 Internets | Well technically I was owned first and I fault them for not being able to seal the deal and totally eliminate me before I turtled into my small expansion ;p It was like a 3 hour game and I was on Starcraft welfare for about 2+ hours of it. But yes, I did end up mopping up at the end ;P

+166 Internets | God, just spent a few hours on battle.net. It's like I warped into the past. The names of games haven't changed in 8 fucking years. "EVOLVES NO DIAL UP" ... "3v3 BGH BGH BGH!!!" "2v2 girls only no noobs!!" Think I'm going to go back to pestering people on AIM to find their CD's and play against me again. |

| I just reminded everyone that its only like 15 bucks on blizzard.com to dl sc + bw and relive the glory days of yore. Of course i'm seriously persuasive. I've led many an immigration (and exodus) from various mmos. I should start a cult.
