| I said it should have sold at least as much, which was around 2 million, right? Good job. It's their flagship, less than a million is disappointing and it should be selling more than that. Its numbers aren't amazing. Suck it up, stop apologizing. It's sad, get over it. |

| How? GTA is a bigger franchise by far in the past, so don't see why anyone would expect MGS4 to match/exceed it in sales now. BTW. GTA4 on PS3 sold a million in April, 442k in May. (5 or 6 weeks) MGS4 on PS3 moved nearly a million the last 2 weeks of June. How is that "sad and disappointing" again? |

+107 Internets | Yes, MGS was a major exclusive. However, it's sales are pretty much in line with the success of the series as a whole. I really don't see it's sales as all that surprising. /shrug |

| Here's also an important tidbit. GTA4 broke just about every sales/revenue record there was. Yet MGS4 caused a bigger hardware sales spike than GTA4 did. More PS3s sold in June than PS3s and 360s COMBINED sold in GTA4 release month. That's part of why I said MGS4 did amazingly well. |

| I am not a "fanatical fanboy", Coren. I simply call it as I see it. I have no everlasting loyalty to any single company. When the SNES was fantastic, I would have have been behind it on the internet had it been around like this. When the PS1 was on top, I was certainly behind it. When the PS2 was king of the world I sang Sony's praises and they did bestow upon me many blessings. I pointed out the utter failure of Microsoft's pathetic Xbox and the joke that was Nintendo's GameCube. And now in the day of this generation, I sing Microsoft's praises as they give me what I want and delivers it in a better package than anyone else. I point out that while I love the Wii, I am saddened by the lack of games that are enticing for me. I point out that Sony is just sad on the gaming front. Yes, the PS3 sells quite well worldwide - because it's the best Blu-ray player in the world and that's what a significant portion of people buy it for. On the gaming front, it's always lacking - the software sales tell the truth of the matter. And in the next line of things, or if things happen to change before then, I shall sing the praises of whoever delivers to me a great experience. Hopefully more than just one will and and I shall certainly note their awesomeness no matter what company they are. You on the other hand will keep apologizing, as is the way of a real fanboy. |

When in one thread though you mention how awesome Valkyria Chronicles is, then make a thread and say "Sadly no PS3 exclusives is on my radar this year", and other little comments throughout, it just really gives a good implication that you've been rapidly decending into fanboi-land compared to what you used to be. I think MGS4 did VERY well the last 2 weeks of June. Yeah I can understand why some would disagree, and I can respect that (Soygen for instance didn't agree but I have no argument with his post), but when calling it "sad" for not measuring up to GTA4, that really is an argument I'd expect to hear from a 360 fanatic. | |

| Valkyrie Chronicles is awesome, but not awesome enough to make me buy a whole freaking system for it. In that context, it certainly not on my radar. If you have one, you should certainly buy it. Duh? |
