Castle Vidcons - great webcomic

I've seen a few posts of Castle Vidcon in the FSR thread before and didn't know they had an actual site and a lot of great content until recently. They did a redesign of the site and planning to add content more frequently. Great original stuff that I think everyone in Other Games will enjoy.

It's pretty awesome, even if there is something to refine with some of the animated ones.

There is a strange "l33t club" feel going on because he explains absolutely nothing, making most of the comics absolutely cryptic to most people, the latest one (also the last in the above attachments) being an extreme example of that.

There's a lot of subtle commentary or reference to current console wars and gaming events.

I'm pretty sure the last one has something to do with the DS getting an old re-release, and the virtual console not having it. Or something like that.

Yeah the comic with the watch = releasing Chrono Trigger for the DS.

Yeah, most of the strips do have a "1337" insider joke feel to them, but I think the same audience that checks up on Penny Arcade or Ctrl+Alt+Del will get most of the jokes. I have no clue on a few of them as well, like the one posted below. You also have to know when some of the comics were released to fully understand the joke. Like the PS3 alive one was done around the MGS4 release (you can see the Kojima Prod. logo in the lightning).

The guy who redesigned the site posted on GAF that they're planning a lot of things for the site. Hopefully some kind of commentary will be added. For something that just started off as a singe pic from Something Awful, I think the guy's doing great and hope he can keep it up.

The PS2 told the PS3 that they had top selling software. The problem is that Sony was putting out decent software on the PSP but everybody was pirating it instead of buying it.

At least that's what I got out of it anyway.

They're apparently so insider, I have no idea what any of them but the first means.

The first one is an XBOX360? humping a PS3?

I have no idea what the rest mean, but it probably doesn't help that XBOX 360 is the only console I've owned since SNES, only own a few games for it, and never read about consoles.

Yes, that is why you don't know what they mean. You'd have to be a pretty avid console gamer to follow most of them. I've owned every console since Atari 2600 and I even can't figure out some of them.
