Dragon Age Thread(Spoilers)

Couldn't find a thread about this game so I made a new one..
Anyway, the game have been lacking news updates for a couple of years and now finally something is happening it seems:

Dragon Age - More July 9, 2008

Been waiting for it for what seems like forever...

Isn't this that rpg/rts hybrid? Hope they made some changes, game had meh written all over it.

I think people (I might be wrong though) have misunderstood the whole RTS concept of the game. It was only said that in combat you'll see your party from a RTS point of view (ie top down camera mode), that can be changed. I could be wrong about this however....
Think the combat system itself will (while their own) be influenced by AD&D so it will take X amount of time to execute action Y and this can either be done while pausing or in real time (Kotor style I guess?).

Uh no. This game's the spiritual successor to one of the greatest RPG's of all time, Baldur's Gate 2.

I hope Dragon Age will be to Baldur's Gate what Mass Effect was to Knights of the Old Republic. That means: awesomeness somehow made even better. I'm glad they are moving away from their former IPs and developing their won. More power to them, more power over their content.

Ive heard Dragon Age will be pretty Dynamic in a way that you can choose different backgrounds for your char and they effect how your treated through the game. Like say you choose to start out as a human beggar youll be treated as such, or say a dwarf noble youll be treated better per say or worse. I remember reading an article on it a LONG time ago but havent heard anything from it since. This could be a good indication that it might be comeing out in the next year or so.

Lets hope it doesnt turn into a project offset >_<

well if it is being made for consoles as well I will lose some hope of it being on par with BG I and II

Other then Bioware is on my list of, I will pretty much buy anything this company releases.
