Just click on your Nvidia/ATI icon, change the color settings, save the scheme, and you can run Diablo (or anything else) in monochrome if you really want. Problem solved.

The lighting, color palette and even some art assets shown so far are very very WoW like. There's no denying that. I was abit shocked when I saw the first videos but the animation and gameplay won me over in short order. Game looks extremely fun and that is what's most important.

Still, the staircase and candles in that one screenshot look like they were lifted out of Karazhan or Scarlett Monastery or Scholomance or some other random WoW dungeon. And that is dissapointing. The "Diablo" name deserves better and shouldnt be using hand-me-downs from WoW but rather unique assets designed from the ground up.

It's still early so maybe the finished product wont end up looking like WoW's little brother with blood and body parts thrown in.

I noticed a brick in one screenshot that was clearly ripped straight out of Stratholme. Talk about lazy artists.

I would have to dig pretty deep to find scholo screens especially since I avoided running the place, so I went to Google to help me take up this challenge. I picked the best variety I could from the first few pages, you all can decide what you like or submit more scholo shots. I'm not really seeing the candle thing though...it may be a bit beyond me.

Of course they're not the exact same thing. Do you think Blizzard just grabbed models from Scholomance and threw them into D3?

We get it. D3 has more similarities with WoW than D2 does. Of course it does, we're talking about two recent 3D Games, with fantasy settings, created by the same company. They both share some similarities with Starcraft 2, as well. It's Blizzard's style. If you take a look at some of the models they used for D2 you'll probably find some of that Blizzard-style in them as well. It's just obscured in D2 by the 8-year old sprite based graphics and low resolution.

So, 17.5% if you include those that don't care, and 19.4% if you only count the three options where people have to pick an opinion.

Either way, it rounds up to 20%. About 1/5th of the people out there have an issue with the art direction. I would say that's significant. Not a huge amount, of course, but a significant amount. It's actually a bit more than I thought would.

don't care are the people that throw money at any company regardless of history or reputation. ms screws 360 owners? who cares; throw more money. ea shitting out another madden or sims expansion on their 6mo dev cycle, reusing assets like a cheap hooker? who cares; throw more money. blizzard totally lobotomizing the diablo franchise by making it a cartoon? who cares; throw more money.

either people have too much money or are too full of stupid. or just don't care. probably all three.

You're a retard. On any given subject on a message board you will find a number of people who can't agree with the majority/are always dissatisfied. 20% means shit.
