Gotta be CT DS. For some reason, I'm not too excited. I'm guessing it will be a crappy DS 3D remake, but I hope they can keep it 2D. I don't wanna go back to looking a PS1 polygons and textures on a tiny screen

Its been confirmed.

Will be an enhanced port of the SNES game.

Already played and beat this game, but I love it enough to buy it again.

the people that are excited about this arent 10 year old kids tromping all over town glued to their DS playing pokemon.

why couldn't they release it for ps3 or something. =p

i'm too old to be hunched over staring at a tiny little screen.

Or just buy a PS2 and get the PSX version of the game

Or get an SNES emu and hook your computer up to the TV

Pretty sure option A isn't possible. I haven't looked for a DS emulator, but I bet there's one out there.

As much as I love CT, I'll probably pass on this one if it's just a remake in 3D. The reason FFIVDS works is because those sprites and the world just seem so limited in expression compared to the 3D engine. Their 3D engine is alright, but even if they add voice acting, I can't imagine the game being any more perfect than it is. Also, the 3D engine is pretty limited in terms of backgrounds. The sprites and backgrounds in CT were just so good.
