That said, 99% of old video games are cheaper now than they were at the time of their release and of the few that kept or took value only a tiny minority really became expensive. Stuff like the gold cartridges given at Nintendo competitions, vcs cartridge that were only available through mail order, etc... More on topic, even if many games of the 16-bit era aged well, I don't really feel the urge to play a second time through RPGs I once completed. Even those I enjoyed back then. Even on emulators with 300% speed and state save, I am not tempted... but now that I think of it... I got stuck near the end of Lenus, that leaves a little spot if dissatisfaction...

+10 Internets | Wow, the music sounds revamped and VERY good. Oh wait, I clicked links to that damn canned project. Fuck me. You've lived an incomplete life.

| I don't get the hate on in this thread. The DS is probably the best purchase I've recently made and I'm completely looking forward to this coming out. I loved the piss out of Chrono Trigger back in the day, it would be a lot of fun on the DS. |

+19 Internets | I like the DS, but I barely play it. I'll download and check this out. Play it for 10 minute, like every other game I've played on it, and never play it again. Too many games I have yet to beat, before I go playing through remakes. |

Many years later, he played Chrono Trigger on an emulator. It takes FF6's shiny, beautiful carcass, steps on it, pisses on it, sets it on fire and comes out looking pretty fucking awesome. Even though I had a serious romantic, rosy sunglass memory view of FF6, and I didn't play CT until it had aged significantly - it was still miles better. Chrono Trigger is so good, if God made it before he made Man, he would have stopped there, satisfied. | |

| Negative. While I love FF6, CT pwns it in every way. And yes, Square needs to make a damned sequel. A -REAL- sequel. Chrono Cross was an ok game on it's own, but it sucked unholy balls in terms of being a sequel.

| Pride Never Die | I can't wait for this to come out. I never did get to play CT and it runs too slow on my PSP via an emulator so I'm looking very forward to this.
