Your opinion is obviously your entitlement, but dont call something ridiculous that has actually already proven itself to work, without all the false hopes of games being released now. | |

+26 Internets | A man offers you to choose one of two briefcases. One briefcase has a million dollars. The other has a million and one dollars. Both choices are win. I have the PS remake (And the old cartridge...somewhere) and I will still probably buy this. Damn.

+49 Internets | The FF6 briefcase is a million and one dollars until World of Ruin...then you discover 1/4th of the money is really Monopoly dollars.

| Registered User | If you've played and beaten this already, I see no point in spending money on a port with 1 extra dungeon heh. Emulators have pretty much ruined any of the direct port to a new system type money grabbing (thank god). That Chrono remake though looked pretty good, too bad. |

| The FF6 vs. CT debate is one that will rage forever; the main complaint against CT is the short length. Is 1 ounce of the best steak ever better than 5 ounces of the second best steak ever? Most would say no, and thus FF6 wins. And yes, I will probably end up paying for this, despite doing enough New Game+ shenanigans to completely max out my chars in the SNES version and maxing out half the party in the PS1 version. (Not that tab farming was all that hard - throw berserker items on the party and the first time combat actually involves a button press is when you have to run away from oozes in 2300 AD.) |

With the widespread availability of Emulators and Roms, along with the repackaging and reselling of old games (XBLA, Virtual Console, regular Consoles, etc), I don't expect the value to keep increasing. It might, but I wouldn't stake money on it...especially when there's hardly enough time to play new games, let alone revisit a bunch of old games in nostalgia.

Uh...pretty shitty analogy when you leave out the fact that you can regurgitate the 1 ounce steak, eat it again and again and again and again, and it still tastes better than the 5 ounce steak each time. Of course, FF4 is better than CT or FF6, so its a moot point.
