Its not even updated shadows or anything at least bring on bionic commando levels detail. Something to make it worthy of the next in the series.

Inafune specifically didn't want to. The developers even tried to add more animations to Megaman himself, but he didn't want them to. He just wanted to make a classic Megaman. Supposedly he's trying to make it as good as MM2.

I like it, personally. But I really don't need HD or high detail 2D. If the game is as awesome as the older ones, I'm cool with it. I still play them every once in a while, and I find getting a new NES style game pretty cool.

Yeah thats cool and I respect that but still no Mega Man 9. Total regression on everything should not have the next number in the series is my complaint. I will play it and love it I am sure.

The only good thing to come out of this is new MIDI tracks in the spirit of classic Mega Man - that shit sounds so awesome.

It seems more and more common this generation. Dragon Quest IX is another one.

I don't mind it. Hell, if it gets the guys making the newer Megaman games to rethink how they make them, it could benefit Capcom in the long run. A return to roots could be a good thing.

God knows Sonic needs it.

Are these the expectations you came up with in 1989?

I know it is first footage but it looks like shit. I have played all the megamans including the 3D one(/shudder) Next one I am hoping will have some amazing art on par with games like Odin Sphere.
If it had Odin Sphere's graphics, it would be a $40-50 game.

I like it.

Considering my expectations (read: hopes) were that Capcom would design a game that was seamless with the originals, yes, I drafted this up a long time ago. What does that matter? Is it blasphemous to like the original Mega Man style over the SNES games?

I don't know why you'd want me to have expectations for MM9 before even 3 came out.

Not a very good comparison. Dragon Quest IX is on the DS and looks pretty good for a DS game. Mega Man 9 is on the Wii and looks terrible for a Super Nintendo game, let alone a Wii one.

Look up Gus Grissom who was suppose to be Niel Armstrong but was murdered, along with his crew, because they refused to go along with the conspiracy. Not to mention the hundreds of other facts that prove beyond doubt that the moon landings were staged.

I figure this is a better place to ask than starting a new thread, but does anyone know where I can get the original Megaman X soundtrack? I've found a jazzy arranged version of the soundtrack, but I can't seem to find the actual tracks used in the game. Halp!

I'd love to know that as well. The soundtrack to that game is $$$. Also - that game is pretty much > any other Megaman. I wish they'd make a new version in that style

Was looking for it a few months ago myself. Confused why you can find the crappy remix all over the place but the original is nowhere to be found. All I have is the music from the first stage I got from some random ytmnd.
