| I'm just saying, if they were in HD, they would either take a long time and a shit ton of money to make, or it would probably be really, really short. Anyway, I'm cool with this. I play my NES games all the time, so it doesn't bother me any. I think it's pretty cool to be getting an NES style game this day and age.

| Yeah because it's taking Capcom a shitload of money and a long ass time to make Streetfighter HD and it's totally not worth it. Pretty sure since you know, Capcom is familiar with the shit, it wouldn't be too hard for them to do a Megaman game in that style. It would probably be exactly like every single other Megaman game which are all almost identical in length. |

+107 Internets | Good point. It was obviously more work putting Mega Man 9 together. EDIT: Sorry, but I love the Mega Man series, but a game that looks worse than the worst GameBoy Advance game, is not something that should be happening in 2008. I just don't "get" why it looks so shitty. I will, however, reserve judgment until it comes out. Last edited by Soygen; 07-03-2008 at 11:26 PM.. |

| Megaman never had a shitton of different enemies and most of the levels were repeating palettes. Lots of enemies, yes, big levels yes, but most of it was pretty much the same type of thing repeating over and over. Every single Megaman game is like that. Now if you want to say make a total unique palette for every single section of every single level... then yeah, that would be insane, but it doesn't work that way at all. Platformers like that are basically a bunch of the same shit strung together. |

| A Bearded Gnome | Meh, it should be in HD not the 8-bits graphics. It's going way too far to get the "nostalgia effect". I can't wait for SF2 HD and this new Megaman should be in HD too. I'd be more than willing to pay for a 2D HD Megaman.

+107 Internets | Here is a great example of taking a classic(and not even making an actual "new" game) and bringing it up to speed: HINT: This is the same company that is making Mega Man. |

| They're purposely going for nostalgia here. The price should also reflect the cost involved. They're removing charge shot and slide though, which is a bit much. They really want it to be a sequel to MM2. |

Also, I heard that slide may be a power up in this game, rather than instant. You probably have to buy it.

+20 Internets | The graphics looks pretty bad though. I hope those are not final screens. I know its supposed to be 8-bit and all, but check out screens of MM 3-6. They look way better then this new one. |

| The graphics in this game look absolutely gorgeous and they do not hold the game back at all. The only real downside here is that you won't see it in HD, so it'll look fuzzy like the old Mega Man games, which is unfortunate. |

| That is a fucking amazing transition to the 21st century. If they remade the Mega Man X series with those type of graphics I might never put the game down. As far as Mega Man 9? I'll rip it to my PSP and play it on the NES emulator or whatever. It's not even worth purchasing for those of us who actually have current technology. What a piece of shit move by Capcom.
