Co-op is a mixed bag honestly. It tends to make the game a great deal harder (in some areas) if you're trying to unlock certain shit. The last level of episode 3 comes to mind, where both players have to make a series of (IMO) annoying jumps... and if one guy fails, you both have to start over.

The screen is also tethered between the two players (even online) which can make shit annoying if one (or both) of you guys are the "explorer" type. This is probably my biggest complaint.

That said, if you aren't trying to unlock shit and have a lot of the cheats unlocked, you can end up doing some fun/cool shit. I just played it yesterday (locally) with my brother, and we did that last mission of episode 3 I was talking about. At the end with 2 players, one guy is Obi wan the other guy is Anakin and we ended up dueling. My brother (Anakin) beat me but we still got the cutscene/level complete :P Was kinda silly.

Hmm. Does Indy Jones have it? Google must have been lying.

There is no online coop in LEGO Indy. Not sure why, but there's not.

Each Lego Star Wars game has over a hundred characters (most have to be unlocked but they are quite easy for the most part) and each has different abilities..

* Jedi / Sith can use force powers and deflect laser bolts, while also interacting with Jedi / Sith only bricks.
* Bounty Hunters (Boba Fett, IG-88, Boskk, etc) have grappling hooks and in some cases jetpacks.
* Small characters (young Anakin, Jawa, Ewok) can go into small narrow places
* Tall characters (Grievous, Jar Jar Binks) can jump much higher

Honestly the most fun is usually the Jedi / Sith because the force powers are just so funny. Like you can use the Force to turn around the helmet of a Storm Trooper and it ends up wandering around trying to find its way with its arms because it can't see anymore.. or you can yank them up in the air by a foot and watch them dangle.. or fry them with Force Lightning and watch them explode into small Lego parts..

There are also "special" characters with unique abilities, like Chewbacca in the Original Trilogy (or any Wookie in the other game) who can pull the arms of enemies out of their socket, then they just run around without arms trying to get away.

The list goes on, but the fun part is that once you have all those characters, you basically get access to a game within the game because the fact you can switch characters at the press of a button at any point during a level means you can explore everywhere, and find a lot of hidden content. Also, you can create your own characters and customize them, like if you want a small character that can get into small places, use a grappling hook and have Sith powers, use bricks from those kinds of characters (Sith hands for the saber, Bounty Hunter helmet and the body of an Ewok for instance) and behold Darth Boba Wicket at your disposal.

Between each level, you get a cutscene replaying famous scenes from the movies but with Lego parts and without any dialogue, so a lot of the humor is from slightly changed situations or facial expressions, it really is worth a shot.

Also, since the 360 version of Lego Star Wars : The Complete Saga had the hidden unlockable character of Indiana Jones, I wonder if we'll see a hidden Batman character in Lego Indiana Jones..

should post that as a professional review, it just sold it for me, headed out to buy it

Agreed.

Played the game a bit with a friend last night, and it is heads and tails better then Lego Indiana Jones (it's not even close).

2 people can play them on one pc (at least in lego star wars) using two different keybindings, one using wasd to move and one using arrows etc, but its kinda annoying.

My son and I play using 2 USB controllers. It's 1000x easier than 2 people using the keyboard.
