Anyway, the SNES completely crushes the N64 in volume AND in quality as far as I am concerned. I can't think of a single game that is better on N64 than a SNES counterpart except maybe for FPS like Goldeneye (Doom on SNES was not exactly great) and Resident Evil 2 (but then there was Clock Tower which is less impressive but way more scary).

| I don't think this is a valid poll as they each had their strengths. For me, the SNES was the most entertaining for solo games(exception for Contra co-op) while the N64 was hands down the best party machine I've had so far. While I enjoyed winning a couple hundred bucks with drunken Smash and Goldeneye tournaments...I would never put one system over the other. Where is my I <3 equally option? +1 Internets | SNES had Super Mario World, Super Castlevania IV, and a Link to the Past. N64 had Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, and Ocarina of Time (the best game on the system). It really was a close call for me, but I have to lean towards the SNES. The N64 had some real epic failures. Castlevania 64 for one. I can't think of a single really bad game on the SNES that I played. The wrestling games on the N64 were really good though. I had WWF No Mercy. Took me a few tries to get a cartridge that didn't have the memory reset bug, but THQ was nice enough to send me new ones for free in the mail til I got one that worked. Took like 3 attempts. |

+5 Internets | Then you should try Pitfighter. There are not that many games that are so unresponsive you wonder if your controller is still plugged in...

+1 Internets | Heh. Never actually played Pitfighter, but I had heard of it. Completely slipped my mind that it had been on the SNES. And I did also completely forget about Shaq-Fu too. Damn. |

+18 Internets | I think if you add up all the time played on a SNES against the time played on the N64 they would be about equal for me. I did play more genesis then Snes, mainly due to the fact I had NBA Jam on Genesis. Got a good 1000 hours on NBA Jam haha.

Since it went way the fuck over your head I was just pointing out its funny that the big argument at the time was how cheap it was to make games on cd's (eventually dvd's), and yet Nintendo is now the one with the cheapest games now. It's not like the cost wasn't evened out by having to purchase overpriced memory cards because the systems had no hard drives... but hey whatever BS marketing works I guess. | |

| SNES, by far. I spent more time playing SNES games and emulations of those games than any other system period. Except maybe EQ but sitting afk in Thurgadin doesn't count.
