[X360]Too Human

I looked up the new release date recently and got curious about this game so I looked it up on wikipedia. This game seems to be another "Duke Nukem Forever." It's been in development since 1999 originally for the PS then moved to Game Cube and finally to X360. They even have enough class to blame their delay on the Unreal 3 engine earlier this year which is lol. I wonder if this game will ever be released.

I think it will next year... the multiplayer aspect sounds cool (ala Diablo-esque) but every gameplay video I've seen leaves me insanely underwhelmed :\

Kinda old news about the U3 engine stuff.. it looks alright. They seem to really want to emulate Diablo in a lot of ways, which could be a good thing.. hopefully they manage to capture a lot of replayability, seems like that's what they're hinging their game on (intended to be a trilogy as well).

I remember reading and hearing about it during its Gamecube era. I was pretty excited for it.

Well it's only a few weeks until games trickle in again for the X360 so I looked over the games again on EB. After looking at the games till April I realize I didn't see this game listed anymore so I search it. Well, apparently they have moved it back once again till Summer 08. I really wonder if this game will ever be released.

The most pathetic thing is that Too Human is supposed to be a trilogy. So maybe 10 years till the series finishes up and that's if the game doesn't tank.

Blame Dyack. His last game (iirc) was Eternal Darkness and that was originally an N64 title I believe. Released for Gamecube.

I never played Eternal Darkness, but isn't that regarded as one of the best games ever made or some shit by the people who've actually played it?

I should check it out sometime I guess.

It's pretty good, definitely worth a playthrough. Don't go in with the over-the-top expectations people throw at you, however.

I never finished it, but I enjoyed the time I spent.

I remember when Too Human was going to come out on the N64.

I've read people saying crap like that, and it's nowhere near that good. It's not bad by any means and worth playing but I never understood people falling in love with it.

So this is basically another "Duke Nukem Forever" but no one really gives a shit because it ain't Duke Nukem. Gotcha. I really don't want this game to tank because the story definitely sounds really good and even if it's a Diablo clone I would jizz all over it. We haven't had a good Diablo type game come out since Diablo 2.

I didn't realize it was the same development team as Eternal Darkness (which I loved). I hope it does eventually come out, then.

I've had this game reserved since May of '06.

It's definitely being released this year. It's also a diablo clone with a switched perspective and console-friendly gameplay.

IGN: Too Human Release Date Revealed

August 19th release date. They said a demo would be available prior to launch too. I dunno, the game could still go either way for me. It looks kinda nifty and a lot of the game features intrigue me (stick combat, 4player co-op, RPG elements, etc) but meh.

(EDIT) And Eternal Darkness was pretty damn awesome IMO.
