+2 Internets | On the plus side, at least Banjo Koozie 3 looks to be pretty interesting. It has a vehicle in that allows for a ton of customization which sounds pretty cool. Like adding a propeller to a dune buggy enables limited flight, then add a balloon on top of that, you got yourself a hovercraft. Hopefully this is a hint for KI-3 in the future; maybe next year since it sounds like Rare intentionally started this hoax to begin with. |

| Pride Never Die | Man, if this was true I would get a Xbox 360 just for KI3. I loved KI1, KI2 blew. I still play KI1 on an emulator every once in awhile.

| I hated MK and loved KI. KI always felt more fluid to me and MK felt like fighting stick figures. I loved how easy it was to flow in and out of combos without combat seeming to come to pauses every now and then.

Killer Instincts problems were always a distinct lack of variety and dial-a-combos. Hey, I just hit you 27 times and I hit a button 5 times, yay. Games like Virtua Fighter, Guilty Gear, or even Tekken blow it away. Yes, you could c-c-c-c-combo breaker, but then the game devolved into seeing how far you could go into a combo before getting broken. Not to mention things like Fulgore's charge always overprioritizing TJ Combo's or the infinite juggles people like Eyedol and Cinder had. It was a shitty game with AWESOME eye candy and AWESOME sound. It was almost worth it for the eye candy and sound alone, it was that good, but the actual game...? /turns on elitist Virtua Fighter streak

+4 Internets | back then the game itself was awesome, i kinda wish i still had a n64 to load up KI Gold just because it was my favorite game of its time for years. Having a semi-3d rendered world was wicked and playing as tj combo shadow-rolling into combo's was badass. That and the little cheat that allowed you to bust out finishing moves at any time was cool, he'd pull out a tommy gun and go to town |

It just fooled people with the graphics and the killer sound and music. And I did buy both KI's due to those reasons because imo it was justified, but as a fighter...ick.

| There are super technical hyper balanced fighting games. Then there are visually awesome basically balanced fighting games. KI was the former. I couldn't get into the tekken's and virtua fighters because if felt like a job having to learn it to the degree of difficulty I could keep up. That didn't make it a sucky game it just made it a hard one. Nor does that make KI a bad game for just being... FUN. (Note* fun is subjective. Some people like super hard as technical games....)

+8 Internets | Heh, makes me think of how much trouble one could cause if you had access to the source files for the 2d art used in faux-3d games like KI.

+5 Internets | KI was the Dead or Alive of its day. Rock, paper, scissors with eye candy. KI wasn't a bad game for being fun to button-mashers, it was a bad game as it wasn't fun for most people who progressed past randomly mashing buttons. |
