N64 or SNES?

Which was a better system?

This should have been the third option.

This isn't really a fair fight, especially on a forum with strong RPG roots. Did the N64 have a single good RPG (no, quest 64 doesn't count ).

Was going to put "N64, and it was the best gaming system ever created to date." but the 360 is taking that crown with gusto.

Anyway, I have not met anyone with the same enthusiasm for '64 that I had. =(

N64 sucked hard except for a few of those wrestling video games.

N64 Zelda was epic.

Definitely have to go with the SNES - it wins by sheer volume. Tons of great games on the SNES. On the other hand the N64 probably has at best 5 games that you may have cared about depending on your tastes.

And neither gets to touch the "Best Ever" award. That goes to the PS2. Absolutely nothing even comes close to touching the PS2's number of worthwhile games in its library.

Too bad it wasn't an rpg.

Zelda is not an RPG. It's an Action-Adventure game.

Personally I'd include the PS1 library too, making it THAT much better.

They really dropped the ball with the PS3 there.

SNES, hands down. Just a much better platform on the whole. Nintendo dropped the ball with the N64, though as Sean says, the games at the apex of its list are classics with Zelda being at the top of that list.

This poll is a joke, and other people have already stated why.

Why can't I see the voters on the poll so I can ridicule those who picked the 64.

It's hard. SNES had many more good games and some great ones too.

N64 had a couple of the single best games ever created though. Ocarina of Time is the epitome of what a video game should be. It's basically perfect in every sense.

Given that I missed the SNES bandwagon in its heyday I had to give the nod to N64 based on personal bias.
