| Battlefield 2 help Yes Ive goggled and tried the fixes I found, to no avail. So today I went out, bought a 22" ws LCD and a 8800gt, hooked em up, new drivers installed etc. Go to start bf2 and I get a black screen like it wants to start then it crashes. Tried adding th rez to the shortcut target line, tried changing the rez in the config files, nothing Ive found on the web so far has worked. Anyone had this issue and have an idea how to fix it? 1680x1050 6:10 |

+5 Internets | BF2 doesn't have wide screen support. I don't think 2142 does either. In any case I am not sure just adding the option to your shortcut is enough. It may well be an it's another issue causing the blackscreen, but I seem to remember (and it's been some time since I played) having to do something else to a config or something to force the game to stretch for wide. Or I am wrong, I dunno. either way the game looks kinda gay in WS since it stretches . Dice doesn't like to support WS because much like their fucking retarded cone of fire mechanics, they don't want players to have advantages over other players who might not have the same hardware. |

| Welcome to the Widescreen Gaming Forum If possible, start with resolution 1440x1050. Setup all graphics settings in game. Once that's done, then use the commands in the shortcut. |
