+12 Internets | [Wii] WTB I need to get a Wii for upcoming Mario Kart Wii. I've been checking Wii Tracker daily, but so far it's only been bundles that are coming available. I don't really want to drop $600 on a Wii bundle. All I want is a Wii and Mario Kart (for now anyway). So is there a particular time to snatch up a Wii off Wii Tracker? I recall something about Wii's ship out every sunday? Should I check the tracker midnight on saturday? |

| Check your local Circuit City's sunday ad. When they get Wii's in, they always put it in their ad. They get shipments every other Sunday, so you gotta figure out what the schedule is looking like from the ads. |

| Keep your eye on the CAG forums. Check their weekly ad posts, they'll list which store has Wii on Sunday morning for that week. |

| If it's anywhere near as bad as it was over the holidays, good luck. For me it was mainly a matter of knowing around what time the local stores got their shipments in, and being lucky enough to walk in or already be standing in line as soon as the truck pulled up. I love the Wii, but that was a pain in the ass. |

| Wii Alerts - The only site you need to find a Wii or Any Product. And it's free! That's how I got mine. They send you a text message to your cell phone when a vendor gets something in stock. If you use them, a few pieces of advice: - Go to each site ahead of time to setup an account and input as much information as you can. Amazon for example lets you put in absolutely everything and even turn on one click buying (which means no add to cart, no confirmation; you click it you bought it). - Stuff usually goes in stock in the morning so keep your cellphone by your bed and be ready to jump up and race to the computer. - They sell out in less than 5 minutes at most places and you often don't get the text message for a few minutes. In other words you have to be very fast. - If you have one of those browser add-ons that fills in credit card info and other stuff automatically, use it. I missed out on a Costco.com Wii because I had to enter in all my info (they don't let you save much ahead of time). --- I got my wii in about 3 weeks using them. The only reason it took that long is that it was immediately after christmas and no vendors had any in stock the entire time. If you are dedicated (aka always have your cellphone and prepare each site ahead of time) then you should get it in a week or two no problem.

| what i find funny/pathetic(in a good way) is they make ~1.8 million units a month(selling about 1.4 a month).....and we are still dealing with shortages a year and a half after release.... and they want to release in china and south korea this year. bets on what they say they are going to be making after april 1st? i've heard rumors of anywhere from a modest 200k a month increase to a 50% increase(to about 2.7 mill) all the way up to a doubling of production. (personally i think it will fall between the 200k to 900k increase) |

It's all about the PC Bangs. I have a channel on cable TV that I've flipped through and on more than one occasion seen a Starcraft match being shown. That said DS is HUGE, and PSP also big. I'm sure the Wii will do quite well. | |

+2 Internets | I found mine by hitting a Super Target in my neighborhood on Sunday morning. They had 60 in stock and were down to about 12 at 8:30am when I got there, they opened at 8:00am. Some 75 year old Grandmother cross checked this kid on the way in the door with her cane. Haha. The cashier told me that they almost didn't sell one to her. Wish I could have seen that.
