Pirates, Vikings, and Knights II

What an amazing mod! I've been playing it all night and I haven't had this much fun in a game in a good while. The way the teams are setup bring an amazing deal of balance, each team is at each others necks for the duration of the map making every second very intense and extremely fun. As of now (beta 2.0), each team has 2 classes which are very well balanced.

Pirates Vikings and Knights II

As the game progresses, they will release more classes, more play modes, and more maps amongst other things. With each team having 6 classes, I would have to say this is going to be one hell of a fun clan match game. Check the game out!

could have sworn i started a thread about this before. I played beta1 when it first came out months ago. Was alright but got boring pretty fast. Vikings were super OP.

looks like they haven't even come out with any new classes yet.

This game is fun. I'm not sure how I feel yet about melee-oriented FPS but the classes released so far add a pretty wide variety of playstyles. Can't wait for the rest of the classes to be added in. So far though with just the initial 2 classes for each side Pirates and Vikings seem to have a large advantage over Knights.

Not when I'm playing Knights! But I agree, they do have a little bit of an upper hand, that just makes the Knights work harder. Since the the knight can only do close range and the archer long range, they make a really good combo when watching each others backs. Lots of experience doing this with my clan member last night, we had a blast.

PVK is some nuts fun, especially if you play with friend(s). Vent a must.

Me and a friend of mine play fairly often, couple days a week for a few hours at a time, and it's a blast. Just fucking with people and their spawns and stuff is hilarious.

There's now 2 classes per team, over the previous 1 per. New ones are all kinds of fun ^_^

hmm could have sworn beta 1 had 2 class choices? might have to check out the 2nd classes.

3 races, 1 class each in Beta 1.

There are 5 total classes planned for each team, by the end, though. If they ever get there heh.

Heh, I just saw this on Fileplanet last night and downloaded and played it about 20mins. Seems fun, I'll have to test it more. Though it does seem to me that he dual wielding vikings are a wee bit overpowered. Of course, I never played the original.. so this is a new mod for me.

played this a little, wasn't any local servers though so had to play with high ping. Made the melee stuff extra hard. Seems some factions seem overpowered in some map types, like the pirates seem to own the tower map using that powder keg thing.

Yeah, Faille. Sucks that there aren't any Australian servers. I can guarantee there will be some soon, this game is getting pretty big. The teams do get a little unbalanced on some maps. That's why I really like "Booty" game mode, it's balanced all the way around and has really hectic gameplay. Can't top that!
