I stopped thinking about the score that this game deserves because it's all completely unquantifiable, and this is the first game that's ever really felt that way. I guess it "feels" like a 10/10 because it's so polished and the camera and cinematics are perfect in every way. Yes, there are flaws, but I don't know how I could expect them to be overcome. The entire package is better than what I expected and I can see it easily becoming my all time favorite.

Just beat it a couple of hours ago. Can I say best game of 2008? Or best game ever?

Tangent: MGS4 Raiden is so badass. Now that Itagaki has left techmo, maybe he can hook up with kojima and make NINJA RAIDEN

I'm up to two bosses and at the beginning of act 4. Killed Laughing and Rage so far without lethal.

Rage took me about 30 min to beat without doing lethal. Was crazy, but you just had to be patient.

Damn I must suck cause some posters already beat the game. I'm on act 2 and have about 9 hours of play time. This is the first MSG game I truly enjoyed since it was introduced on the PS2. MGS4 was the sole reason for me buying a PS3 and it was well worth the money. So far I'm having a blast playing it.

On a side note has anyone who purchased the MGS4 PS3 bundle played Pain? It's a downloadable game that's chaotic fun.

Couple gamestops told me that they are limited and that they MIGHT get one more shipment of those bundles...

I'm in the same boat as this guy. My Xbox conveniently broke a few days ago so an impulse buy for a PS3 and MGS4 was in order. This is blashpemy i'm sure, but I never cared for any of the previous metal gear games. I lack the required finesse to play these types of games all stealthily so being able to approach this with a more "balls deep" play style and still be successful has been great for me. The system and game purchase has been fucking incredible and totally worth the purchase in my eyes. If you got the cash to burn and really want an eye opening game, I think it's safe to say this will get the job done.

Oh, haven't gotten too far yet but...

Sorry I didn't see your response, dude. I don't know if anyone answered it yet, but my friend killed Octo straight up while I used tranqs, and he didn't get the special face camo.

Also, at least with the first two bosses, you can machine gun them and then tranq when
