| Good timing + Boost + Jump = Win. I can only do it on the DS version but from what I understand you can also do it on Double Dash.

| its a little inconclusive in the video, but if the steering is anything like it was in Need For Speed, fuck that. . .as much as I love mario kart. . it'd much rather be able to use the nunchuck/remote at the same time with the same button setup as mario kart 64. . Z items, b hand break, a accelerate . . .f tilting the game remote and shit ( |

| Soooo are any of you actually planning on using the wheel? That seems like more of a gimmick than anything. Who wants to hold their hands out in a faux-driving position for hours on end? Or conversely, who wants to rest it in their lap and say THIS THING IS DRIVING ME NUTS! Both those would get old mui pronto. |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | I think for most vets of the series the wheel is a gimmick that can be done without. I won't use it for a few reasons (most important reason being I don't want to take off my Wii condoms. It's annoying enough to take them off to charge the remotes as it is). As for controls, it doesn't bother me too much from what I've seen. B for items, maybe something like 2 for gas and 1 for break or something like that. That's what I assume aftering looking at it. Maybe B will be gas and A will be break with items going on 1 or 2. There's a variety of ways they can do it. I like the idea of not using the nunchuck though. They want to make it friendly to the masses and not to the hardcore Nintendo crowd. My parents for one can get really intimidated by the nunchuck even if it's a basic task involving it. Showing something like this where you only need the wheel and a maximum of 4 buttons being used means it'll be easy to pick up and play for the casual crowd. Smash Brothers may not be something everyone can enjoy, but Mario Kart is fun enough for anyone to play and enjoy it. It's a very smart business move by Nintendo. |
